Dude, you cannot sex a grey parrot by feeling the pelvic bone. That works with love birds only when you are an expert and have felt quiet a few.
A grey parrot can be sexed visually by looking under the feathers, for a male if you spread its wing there will be two colors.. the upper band will be blackish grey and then lower band will be a little light.. you will be able to differentiate two different colors.
For a female there will be three bands, dark grey, grey and then white. So, if you spread a grey parrots wing, and look under it, you will be able to see three colors.
Secondly, the chest, a male will have more grey chest while a females chest usually is grey which fades into white as you go down..
Third and most important. If you look at the under coverts or under the tail, you will notice a male has SOLID red feathers under the tail while the female will have white or greyish tips of under tail coverts... near the vent...
You have to be a little observant and find it out.
Nops, not vets. Dna sexing is not performed in Pakistan. There are people working on commission for these labs who will take a sample and send them and get you the result in about 15 days or so.
Am sorry to let you know that a pelvic bone feeling thing is no way to sex your african grey. You can never do that using this method.
