After Market Immobiliser Installation?

Hello Fabulous Pakwheelers,

Is it really available? after market Immobiliser installation?

I own a honda city 2013 Aspire 1.5 Prosmatec. and i would want to get immobiliser installed in my car.

Car theft is on forever rise in Islamabad now, Speciall in F-11 and G-11 and G-10. (Isb is too populated now )

so yeh, im sure the New owners of corolla's 2014 would want to know about this too, as they are still not offering it after asking hefty price of 2.3 million rupees ONLY.

Don't take my too much populates islamabad comment seriously, i just miss the old islamabad, with less car theft reports, i lost a brand new altis corolla last year it was only 2 weeks old .

Don't tell me that Aspire came without immobilizer? I always thought that it a FF feature in that.

As for the after market, I too would love to hear from the experts here...because I think it is not possible, agar hai tu phir it will be very expensive. I have looking for that for my Altis but so far no luck.

So my Liana is for everywhere and Altis is only to be driven to selected places

Sadly good sir, Honda City Aspire 1.5L Prosmatec has only Keyless Entry but no Immobiliser, Only Honda Civic comes with Immobiliser in Pakistan as standard.

I remember something similar installed in my Chevrolet joy, when i asked the owner he said that it is an immobiliser and the car wont start if its not attached with the key. it was just like a key chain and he said it is imported and not available locally,

I doubt you can install after market immobilizer.....as I think immobilizer works with ECU system and if ECU doesn't have that feature available, installation of immobilizer won't help.

Ummm that sounds like a RFID security system (not company fitted)...but according to what I am told that too can be bypassed, it is just rugular RFID takes a few more minutes than the other security system to deactivate. But best is the immobilizers that are configured with the ECU of a car.

Yes it was a RFID security system. The best Security System is Ayat Al Kursi, rest are just for our satisfaction.
I guess Mercedes also comes with immobiliser, seen them being stolen too. The Best Security System Is Ayat Al Kursi, just recite when leaving the car and before going to sleep and In Sha Allah our Car as well as other cars will be Safe.

Bro my humble request is to not get the so called card installed by 15 they will tear apart each and every wire inside the fuse box and dont know what they else do...My friends cultus got that installed and after 2 months the whole wiring got short circuit and it was melted to hell.
So plz no to 15 card.....
For security
You can buy a steering lock ...to deter thief....also do lock the stock steering lock when you get out of car....a simple alarm system with good motion sensor can be installed to deter thief but from a good electrician not road side electricians.

Let me try to explain you guys a bit about the after market immobilizers.

• After market immobilizers DO NOT communicate with the Car's original ECU.
• they have their own circuit, and the access method can be any of these, (RFID Card, Thumb, Remote, etc.)

• but these ALL can be bypassed, as you have to re-connect the cutted wires which prevent car from starting.

• if you want to install an After market immobilizer, just install any immobilizer, but be sure to install in such a way that it will take some time for any one to bypass it.
  e.g. most of the securty alarms/immobilizers circuit is installed under the dashboard, near the steering etc. so anyone can identify the wires and reconnect them to bypass it.

• Another option for safety is to install the circuit somewhere other than dashboard, and multiple buttons (chor switch)

• my czn got a chor switch installed in his car from Sargodha, but that electrician does not tell what he is using,
  ( As im an Electrical Engineer, and know some basics of Car Electronics, so i will free some time with his car and try to figure out what that guy has installed)
  (right now what i figured out is that guy does not use new/extra wires for installing chow switch, but make use of the existing wiring and buttons of the car.
