I believe they think that all cars are just bare metal from underneath - Even Pakistan Suzuki put a little undercoating on their cars, that coating gets eaten away by this oil/diesel application

Greasing (Lubricate chassis)Toyota Maintenance: Lubrication Points can be done if needed but only on the key points where it needs to be done. Spraying with diesel or oil will not stop any rust on undercarriage. Their are some anti rust treatments available. Honestly i wouldn't worry about it too much. We have very harsh summers and winters here and have not seen any rust issues yet. Just wash it with water and drive:)

Please click above on the underlined area to get some idea. Remember all cars have different requirments. Older cars need more greasing then newer cars. RWD/AWD have more points then FWD etc etc.

never spray oil on the undercarraige of ur car as it seriously shortens the life of suspension bushes and all rubber parts.
the proper way to protect it frm rust is that get ur car Undercoated... UNDERCOATING is a special chemical that creates a protective coating to avoid rust....

spraying oil underneath is useless and it ruin ur garage as well when u spray oil ue suspension gets sticky and all dust mud stuck there on rubber bushes and it works like an rubbing compound sort of sand paper and ur sus pension will wears early

Now for undercoating, can karachi user give us some detail about it, like cost, any specfic brand of undercoat for example nippon or berger etc and also can it be done by any paint shop?

newer cars do not need greasing - as they are built with greased for life fittings, and to second danish here, spraying oil underneath your car is like taking a bath with super hot water and soda, you wont function correctly for long and would need to visit the doctor often.

Rubber gets deteriorated by oils - and for some reason people in Pakistan believe that cars come from the factory with BARE METAL underneath - usually falling prey to cheap SERVICE STATIONS who proceed to destroy their cars while collecting money too.

Just wash it and let it dry, infact just wash the wheel wells and leave everything else alone.

Generally speaking, petrol, diesel, oil of any kind will swell the rubber parts also turn into grim and intact help the corrrsion not you. I think it's best to used wax based liquid soap, hair shampoo works wonder also, wash and dry. That is it. If any squeaking is heard just spray silicon spray that part which is making noise not all underneath.
Same goes to engines, just use rubbing alcohol with a bit dissolve silicon grease, very tiny amount and using air gun, spray and clean all parts under hood. In 5 minutes it will evaporate leaving no visible or tangible grease. That is it. It will keep parts healthy.
