Guys I have brought a clutch plate set from parts central Lahore, but there seems to be a date on it which seems to be very old. Could you guide me if this date has any weightage or not? Also if there is any expiry like engine oil has a shelf life and tends to go bad if it isn't used in a certain time fram
@haseeb.basharat @capsat@ifadey@Xulfiqar@Hassan1971
@consigliori
@sardarg
its manufacturing date not expiry date. imo no adverse effect on working
I don't think clutch plate or pressure plate have any expiry.Make sure it's not rusted.
21 02 04y/m/d not sure
The seller is saying that it's a serial number and that it not a date, he showed me some clutch plates with 25th year production date, this Is confusing me further
start using google 'aisin clutch plate toyota ' and look for available images to zoom and find out if he is telling truth,
Partner should not be an issue.
That is not a gregorian calendar date but more like a mathematical date, like you see the clocked date circle on moulded parts.

So should it be used or not, based on your knowledge?
Yes, I have tried searching everywhere but there is very limited documentation available regarding this
