9k..isnt it too much to spend on a glass item fixed less than a foot above stone n pebble filled roads of pakistan ??

and do you know what that glass item is used for?
it is used to cut through the fog and make visible the road or atleast the edges,I know low cost lights are also aval but for that read the below quoted post from another thread. Having said that I will insist that safety first!
I will happily spend 9k on a life saving glass item but will not spend a single penny on mere cosmetics like alloys etc

I had got installed DEPO fog lights installed last year, I have had the following problems;

[*]Light is not well focused, and dazzles the on coming drivers.

[*]The bulb gets fused especially when used for long duration i.e.drive between lahore-islamabad.
[*]The lens is plastic which fades with use.
[*]The light is not water tight, water penetrates if you go in deep water.
[/LIST]I am switching to original Toyota fog lights and would recommend the same to all interested.

The main difference is that original fog lights have glass lens instead of plastic.

I was told that warranty will remain intact as this is an OEM part installed by a toyota dealership but do check with your dealership before you go ahead with this.

I wanted to ask that there is a light in the speedometer cluster that should turn on when you switch on the fog lights.
Did they connect the in dash light with the lights or not?

As far as i know, Indus doesnt provides any wiring in the Xli/GLi there fore the parking lights wires are altered with. (correct me if im wrong)

So even if there is a light in the meter it wont turn on, Mayb in Altis it does as in Altis FF fog lamps has the button on the assembly.

Or if theres wirring FF then the light should comeon as well
