What fuel average you are getting?
Little addition in my B-RV, sun glasses holder
I want to buy a new BRV, as my family car, I want to know couple of things:-- What is the fuel efficiency in city with AC both (Manual and Automatic)?-- Is the drive of manual BRV is good or not? What is the need of gear changes in city?
The new 2020 BRV is much appealing for Honda lovers in current situation. There are no news about CITY new model. The only concern for me is smaller and uncomfortable seats of BRV. Did any one here think of converting it to five seater with more legroom. And what about possibilities of changing front seats with honda city seats?
True, the seats are not comfortable and quite thin, but the seats in new BR-V are bit better, they are more cushioned (this is what I feel) and the middle seat belt in the second row is moved in the roof along with a head rest.
Plz where you get this?
experienced a strange issue with my brv...it was standing in the garage for 14 or 15 days..i went and tried to start it but the battery was completely dead not even a single light was turning on i had to open the door with the key.took out battery charged it completely and attached it back...i did parasitic battery drain test and i saw that at completely idle car was consuming between 140ma-240ma which is too much.car shouldn't be consuming this much amperes in idle condition...so now i need a usermanual or service manual to see where is the fuse box located so i can manually check the source which is consuming this much current by removing fuses one by one.i called honda service center and when i told them that car wasn't used for 15 days he said then this might be normal which is not for sure...i tested my suzuki baleno and it was consuming only 20ma at full idle condition.so please any 1 here having knowledge of how to use multimeter and do a parasitic battery drain test.kindly ell how much amps your car is consuming at idle state when every thing is turned off completely.plus i need a user manual a detailed one if any body has link kindly share
It depends on the electrical components installed and age of the battery. If your battery is original which comes with the car and one year old it cannot sustain 15 days. If you put navigation on sleep instead of turning it off it can drain even a new battery. Never checked the parasitic drain but my original battery lasts only one year. Shifted to 50 amps AGS but its lasts only two years. Now since one year on DAEWOO DL55. working fine uptil now.
thanks for the input....nav is commpletely off so i am sure it won't be consuming any battery...i bought this car on 23rd may 2019 so not even a year has passed...yes i don't recall exactly but ah rating of the company installed AGS battery was very less when cmpared with daewoo(maintenance free) battery installed on my baleno....i still am concern about the parasitic battery drain what is causing it?i have installed after market drls, fog lamps, front camera and high beam leds...can they be the source of this drain?daewoo(maintenance free) used to give 2 years warranty but they also switched now to 1 year so i am not planning on buying it despite of the face the first one i bought which had 2 years warranty worked for 3 years and that really was surprising but i think quality is not the same now that's why they switched to one year warranty.side note:-saw something weird first i got very worried then read the user manual.if your cars hood is not closed completely your lock/unlock flash lights won't work and security system will also not be activated....
What? the sun glass holder? from Ali Express
Do you have tracker installed?
no
Check individual systems through fuses.
I would also suggest the same. But first check wiring of all the after market components then check the sleeping power of OEM components. But Battery can also be the culprit got it checked by load meter and gravity meter from any road side shop. It still can be replaced in warranty.
battery might be weak but the main issue is that its consuming so much amperes at rest so no matter which battery i install it will be gone after 6months..new battery will definitely perform better but this parasitic battery drain will always be the root cause of my battery wearing down before time.so first i plan on finding what is causing this parasitic drain then offcourse i will replace the battery.the reason i am not doing any thing now is because for finding the issue atleast two persons are required.i need the car to enter in sleep mode(i.e car security system enabled)but to do that i need to somehow close the hood sensor plus door sensor because without that car won't enter security mode(i.e immobilizer red light blinking).last time when i checked with my multimeter i guess the readings i got were not right as car was not in actual sleep mode because hood wasn't closed so car was not entering sleep mode.i will let you guys know if i find something.meanwhile i still want to know from some1 else too that how much amps there brv is consuming while at idle.otherwise i may never know if current drawn by my brv is more or less then normal.as far as i researched ams drawn at rest shouldn't be more then 50ma.two reasons i am not going to the dealership1-)they are gonna strt the blame game that you have altered the wires while installing the aftermarket parts this is causing the issue.2-)the way there representative said(on call) that car battery being completely dead after 14 or 15 days of no use is normal shows their level of competence
Did anybody had a chance to look at new 2020 BRV. Any views or reviews.
i saw it at display...rear bumper now gives much better look...few changes like powerwindow button is lit now driver's side and things which i got in limited edition package are now being offered for free even in base variant.they also claimed that ac now starts cooling within 10 or 15 seconds.other then this i think armrest is now available in all variants.only brv-s has push start..
salam everyone.can some1 guide from were i can get stone chip marks fixed in rwp/isb in reasonable cost but professional work.plus my ncb used liquid wax (which i gave to him to apply on body metallic parts only)on the plastic parts all of the black plastic is now white and no matter how many tims i wash it this whiteness is kind of permanent and has killed all the look of the car...i didn't apply any "luster" as it will make it even worse then it is now.EDIT:-plus i went to dealership honda classic isb for my brv's battery issue..there electrician didn't know how to do parasitic battery drain test and asked me to do it and gave me the meter i showed that to hm...mine was showing 120ma current drawn at rest and another brv which was there for service showed 70-75ma.But he didn't acknowledged this fact and got rude with me....hum log iseleay agay ne barh sktay har cheez ko "Ana" ka masla bna letay hain...sbb batun ke ek bat these cars all of them not just BRV all these cars are total shit considering the price we have to pay for them...paint job is so shitty that no matter how carefully i drive it get stone chip marks.aur usk bad HONDA ke dealership pey esay electrician bethay hain jinko simple parasitic battery drain test karna ne ata...manager was nice he said that if problem comes again and your warranty is expired eve then we will entertain it in warranty and replace it with a new one..i hope he'll keep his word
Its a 3.5 million car it should have cruise control and four air bags. Just increasing the chrome and reflectors did not improve the quality of a car.
Bro remember that Honda City Aspire 1.5 Prosmatec costs u around 2.9 million including registration and it doesn't even has a single airbag
