where do you live ? you can also ask the people working at the dealership to tell you the place which sells them if they dont have it . Also many gas stations have airfilters of honda, toyota etc you can check from there but make sure they are genuine.

thanks but as i said genuine air filter for honda brv is only the wet one dry one is not even made by company for honda brv...i am getting this nexa airfilter he has both dry and wet for honda brv price is same i.e 1400 with delivery from lahore to rwp.

HONDA CITY manual says to replace at 10k but due to lot of pollution on roads it hardly reach 5k. Because CITY filter cost 1800 so can be replace earlier but keeping in mind price of BRV filter I think you can use it until 5k. This is the maximum life of an air filter in Pakistan. Never goes for dry one it can damage the engine. However any local wet filter can be good for 2k maximum.

Thanks but honda brv manual says 20k kilometres.... I reasearched a little on net and what i found was that oiled air filters allow more airflow to pass through them meanwhile allowing more contaminants to pass through them as compared to the dry air filter... Oiled air filter are used mostly for racing cars or when one needs a little boost in performance as they allow more air to pass through them.
On internet almost all if the forums says that you can clean and reapply the oil so its reusable while dry airfilter is not.... I think its wise to buy dry air filter as it will block 99% of contaminants when compared to the oiled air filter which blocks 98% of contaminant...
Offcourse I can't use genuine oem honda air filter as it costs 3650 and that's insane I can't afford it.
I think its better to go with dry air filter.
Some nexa company is giving both oiled and dry air filter at same cosr i.e 1400 rupees

Yes dont worry, the people working at honda dealership told me that its absolutely fine to use dry airfilter, this oil covered filter is just there to make people change air filters more iften as they get dirty real quick and decrease performance of the vehicle.

Try to get from 2S and 1S dealers. they are selling original parts from Thailand at reasonable prices. I just check the price of Honda city air filter from their website it is 2740 rupees. I got it two months ago from a 1S dealer in 1850 rupees. OEM filters are good for 5k atleast. Its not wise to put engine on danger just to same some bucks.

Honda City 1.5 and BR-V don't have the same engine? If so, why different air filters?

It was also surprising for me to see the shape and price of the air filter. It is the same engine as mentioned by the company so they should have same accessories.

i agree with you but seiously 3650 is a hefty amount and i can't afford to change the airfilter after every 5000km's....all honda workshops here sell the airfilter for 3650 which is the same amount mention on honda.com.pk website.
i am still confuse whether i should go with oiled air filter or dry air filter but definitely i won't buy the oem one...what is the benefit of buying the oem one if it can't even survive 5000km

If its dirty. It means its doing its job well. Protecting your engine from dirt in the air.

GUARD has a good repute in air filters. Once in an exhibition they were promoting wet air filters for HONDA. I dont know their price but if can find a GUARD oiled air filter it will be as good as OEM one.

Got guard oiled filter for BRV today. Got it for Rs500.

Its great, Then this can be replaced any time if you feel that it is dirty enough.

which city?...btw if its really that cheap...i think i should test it....by blowing some mud through it to see how much pass....500 is pretty cheap i wonder if it does the work its supposed to do...tomorrow i will be getting new battery maintenance free for my honda brv,engine coolant and probably an air filter too.
Again i am asking has any one used Nexa air filter in their honda city or civic?they told me its imported A1 quality but thats what every pakistani shopkeeper says...its cost is 1250 with delivery it will cost round about 1400 or 1450...

Why engine coolant ? as far as I remember you had only one year old car. Honda coolants are good for at-least four years. Mileage has nothing to do with coolant life. Nexa is popular in India I think but GUARD is a popular brand in Pakistan.

My brv's coolant level was down to minimum so just bought to top it up to max level
My friend has grande he told that he installed guard airfilter and after 5000km it was almost as fresh looking as new so it wasn't doing the job so he went back the oem one

I bought 50ah maintenance free battery of volta for 5000 without giving the battery as i will get it replaced with new one under warranty.
Got air filter for 2150 rupees its genuine oem honda air filter
And honda top up coolant 1 litre for 1080rupees.
