My rant: I have canceled honda brv which i booked through Meezan bank. When i ask Honda drive-in (Karachi) about delivery time before booking they said one to two weeks. But after pay order submitted for clearing they booked honda brv with delivery date of 31 December. I resisted but nothing can be done, and I feel helpless, therefore I asked bank to canceled my case which would cost me 15000. Beware of Raheel sales man there, he is a fraud and big liar.

This is a bitter reality, it happened to me as well but I some how managed to get it in 10 days after I involvement of Honda Company, it is suggested to do research about the sales guys , dealers and even bank rep. before attempting any conversation as they always tries to get max out of our pockets and sadly Bank Auto teams are usually the part of these scams.

I purchased it on same day. But it is manual. Reason is that around once or twice a year i visit the northern areas and for hill climbing I need power. CVT decreases the total engine power of a car by 18%.

one thing i noticed is that its gearing is short, which translates to quicker pick in all the gears. But unless you apply the 6th gear, you don't get proper fuel economy.

for example in toyota corolla 1.3 in 5th gear the RPM is at 3 and speed is 100 km .

This is the same case with BRV although it is a 1500 cc car. Only when you apply the 6 gear does the RPM go down to around 2600 .

Assalam o Aalaikum Pakwheelers! I am actually confused between Toyota Yaris and BRV. Budget is not a constraint, i have small family. I am just concerned about fuel economy, driving comfort and after purchase running and maintenance cost. Pakwheelers i need your opinion please

If family is small and you don't need space for luggage, Yaris is good enough.

If you need comfort then go for a sedan car. MPVs are not as comfortable as sedans not matter how expensive they are. BRV is a cheap crossover (MPV) and you will not feel comfortable in it if you switch from sedan to BRV. for small family Yaris can be a good option. If you have budget then go for ALTIS because shape of Yaris is not popular now a days.

what you say about that particular person is probably true. but there is also an issue of ckd kits/parts availability for the brv. Even other manufacturers are struggling with their suppply chains. Thats the main reason why brv deliveries are scheduled for such long time away even though production is not at capacity

what is the tyre recommendation here ? I want to go a size up... 205/60 or 215/55 ? Any good experiences with chinese brands ? Yoko michelin type brands are too expensive now

go for 1.6 altis
BRV is not comfortable
+ yaris is not desirable shape wise although it will meet all your requirements but still altis is way to go
