Yes, but in PK you can find conflicts. Example, remember City Steermatic model, they told that suspension is the same in IDSI city and steermatic (suspension, body, shocks). Yet steermatic had wider tires than IDSI.
I personally keep one size wider tires for better grip, but always check the tire calculator to make sure there is no or negligible error in speedometer. I never change rim size though.
