I guess people trying to drive corollas and civics haven't tried/experienced emergency braking on such speeds that is more than 100 kmph. If they had done it, they would know that cars are not meant for insane speeds on public roads in term of stability.

If one is not careful for himself, at least he should be careful what damage he can do to his family.

IMO, in PK speed lock should be at 120 kmph.

While driving slow you save fuel as well. Whenever i am cruising at 120 kph and some car overtakes me shaking me with a turbulence, I wonder oh please if you dont care for life at least care for the extra fuel you are burning!

Doing anything that comes under the heading of "conserving resources" and "avoiding extravagence" goes against the honour and pride of the average citizen. Wasting money is seen as a status symbol; anyone who doesn't is labeled as poor or "kanjoos".

In Lahore while speeding people are also TEXTING their babes on phone.

People are buying automatic cars only because they can have one hand free for mobile phones. This epidemic is severe. Everyone is holding a brick in hand and looking at it...

These folks have never been on a road where it says no fuel for next 1000 kms. Its a true test of will to not waste fuel at all.

frankly speaking driving these corolla on above 120 is not safe. i drive corolla and city on super highway above 120 and dont feel safe. i always try to keep maximum to 100 km per hour. drive safe and always drive in a speed on which you can control the car if something bads happened

100 to 120 is good speed for pakistan highways and motor ways. at 100 speed you will get a good avg too and dont feel unsafe.

Variates from person to person, this current generation of Corolla is quite stable, with good tires and a good driver, one can easily do 140 kmh and not sweat. I did a sort of moose test at 120, wasn't the best result but was safe. So it's all down to one's understanding of the road

The best speed on motorway is 110kmph as far as ive experienced driving Corollas and Civics.

Anything above that, it gets tiring and kills the purpose of travel on the motorway; which should be relaxing. Especially when youre on a reacreational trip.
