I am stuck while making this decision… which would be better option to upgrade from honda city. Budget is limited to 35-36 max

Pros of 1.6

1- New car, peace of mind for few years
2- Sell like hotcake
3- Better city driving experience

Cons
1- No Cruise control
2- No climate control
3- 4 Spd Transmission

Personally I would prefer Grande any day due to fun drive and 1.8 with CVT.
(PS I currently own 1.6 previously kept grande)

So in this price range which model can i get 18 or 19 and then what would be the owner transfer charges

Most 18 model Grande are listed for over 36 on pakwheels. One with lower miles 37+ Another option is the 1.6 SE. It is basically the Grande without the engine and transmission. If you are only looking for the features then the 1.6 SE can be an option. If you want the engine and tranny too then go for the older Grande. You might be able to get a clean 18 model low mileage for nearly the on road price of the 1.6 SE.

Both are an upgrade in comparison to. City . I will choose a new car anyday between the mentioned cars.

No comparison at all sir.

1.6 SE is far below Grande's drive. That 1.8 CVT is just so much better.

No cruise control in 1.6 either.

You get foldable rear seats in Grande so can extend the trunk by a huge margin.

Not even retractable mirrors in 1.6.

I have kept grande and currently driving a Altis 1.6 X, Grande takes the cake in driving pleasure and goodies along with better fuel economy (on highway, in city both return same figures).

Only positive point of 1.6 is hot cake resale and an easy to maintain & sturdy (but old school 4spd) transmission. (In grande changing transmission oil is whole project, there are many threads on PW)

Overall grande (even two years used) is more attractive package for me at least.
