So my car had a minor accident. I had to get the gear housing replaced as it was cracked.
Luckily gears were fine . I got the housing changed by a well known shop who is a expert at it.
No the issue is when driving in D, when car shifts from 3rd to 4th gear. Engine revs up to even 6000rpm
Transmission is jerky. Barely drove it 30 km and took it back to the guy.
His fhora disconnected the cable and did some jugaru reset without obd scanner by connecting anther cable and messing around with +ve and -ve terminalz
He asked me to drive it in D3, shift to D when the car needs 4th gear. I should drive like this for next 500km. After 500km calibration will complete and car will be back to normal.
I really dont get this logic. Got it done from arif kahan who is well known on saddar for transmission repairs. Is this normal?
Why does the car need re calibration when we just changed the casing and nothing else.
Ps car is not cvt , its 4 speed super ect
