Altis Grande 1.8 CVTi booking not open?

Hi guys, I am in Karachi and want to buy the Altis Grande 1.8, however, Toyota Clifton is telling me the booking is not open, once it opens for Dec delivery then they will take the booking? Toyota Shahrah-e-Faisal is saying no, booking open for Dec delivery, Is this actually a thing? Kind of confused. Would appreciate if anyone can shed light on this.

The production was halted to almost half during the last year i guess as the demand was less. Now since the things are getting back to normal now and people are buying, I assume that this could be the reason for delayed booking as they cannot accommodate the demand

why don't you book a car from dealership which is offering it. Upon Delivery you can claim warranty services from any 3S shop across Pakistan. go ahead.

I know, was just concerned, what if come Dec they say it's been delayed or whatever. Hence was apprehensive. Thanks though, yeah, will go ahead. Inshallah.

I suggest please book a vehicle a of your choice after 20th of October. So upon delivery the model delivered will be of 2021 over the documents for registration in 2021.

Good idea, yeah, was thinking of doing that, though the dealership says delivery aap Dec mein ley lein, take car home, we will register it in 2021 Jan. Secondly, they also said, even with 100% payment at booking, price lock is not ensured, if it rises you might have to pay the diff in full, or a percentage thereof.

remember if you pay 100% upfront for a vehicle delivery 10 days later and there is any change of pricing in between you are bound to pay difference.

The price change is always announced by manufacturers based upon govt policy change or escalation of currency factor. All such hikes are approved by the Govt of Pakistan

read the PBO after booking, better book the car with partial down payment.

I agree, here's exactly what the dealer said, he says, if you pay in full, there is a minimal chance of you paying any diff if the price increases, if you pay partially, like a million or so, then there is a 90% chance any increase will be applied, as per him Toyota will decide which customers to apply increase to. This sounded ridiculous to me. As per what you mentioned, then the increase will be payable by all customers no? So partial payment makes more sense.

Bro even if you register your car in 2021, it’ll still be considered to be a 2020 model because of the invoice date. My suggestion is to take delivery in the first week of Jan 2021. This way you wont be losing any potential value of the car you’re paying 42 lacs for.

for all vehicles rolling out of plant after Oct 31 every year, the model year mentioned over invoice is of preceding year. If the owner fill in the registration details as per invoice / delivery challan format he can manage correct model date. Unfortunately we tend to hire agents who never pay attention to documentation detail. Sometimes the mistake are so bad that engine number & chassis number digits are missing from the documents as well.

This can only be guaranteed if you make a booking in January 2020. Even then you don't know if u get a reinvoiced vehicle.

Dealerships would clear November/December stocks and even give early deliveries in the last of the year. And 2020 cars in January/February 2021.

The car market is down unlike 2 years back where anything would sell.

A used car sells on condition. Model year doesn't matter any more.

If i have 2 cars similar condition similar price id go for the latest model. But if the older model is in better condition I'd definitely go for the better car.

Sindh Govt booked 75 units and now premium on Yaris 1.5 is 200,000 That too dlvry after 21 days.

No no didn't book anything. The only thing worth buying is a either a wagonr or a Corolla. Else is money pit.

Not sure if 75 cars can take a hit on the booking. The premium on Yaris seems artificial. I can see so many parked Yaris at dealership. It just a pehle kon laya premium.

Their is a add on pakwheels probably some dealer he has all variants of yaris for sale on old invoices asking 100,000k above current invoice. So lumsum makes it 200k.

Toyota sukkher was advertising full money immediate delivery a few days back id rather go and drive my car back then paying own or waiting 3 months. Online toyota vehicle availability shows Dec delivery for almost all models of Yaris and Corolla.

Rest assured despite SAP system into place indus motors has loop holes for priority deliveries and associations with banks for priority delivery too.

Banks such as meezan pre-book cars to offer immediate deliveries to customers so that monthly installments can start earlier too.

PS : their was a add of toyota Walton for yaris Gli manual for 25,03,000 saying new price.

Previously their were rumors of indus motors jacking up prices from 1st September. So maybe they are increasing prices.
