The broken plastic piece was due to wrong tool being used. Unlike metal filters, plastic filter casing should not be grabbed via tool from the edge and rather a special tool is required to be used which is deep enough to grab the grooves specically designed to unscrew it.
Also, toyota dealerships sadly dont torque filter housing and drain bolt via torqur wrench, rather the technician calls it tight once he has put his max strength.
I am not sure if the metal filter casing (such as used in 1krfe) is compatible with 2ZRFE, if so, that would be a better replacement.
