Altis Grande - Philips Lighting Upgrade

Hi,

I want to upgrade the stock bulbs of my Grande. Previously, I have used HIDs in my rides but this time I want to avoid the hassle of dealing with these unreliable kits as well as save others the trouble of oncoming glare.

I have the option of installing Thai spec headlights, which already come with projectors, but have postponed the idea for now. I want to keep the original halogen housing for now, and am inclined towards Philips bulbs for better light output and colour tone.

The options I have in mind are:

1- Philips WhiteVision Xenon 4300K

2- Philips CrystalVision 4300K

3- Philips DiamondVision 5000K

I would like to know about availability of these options and which would be better? Any differentiation in terms of usage and overall looks.

Stick with the lowest Kelvin range..not to go over 4300k. Philips Whitevision is good it has slight blue tint. But the best reviews i have heard about are of Osram Night Breaker Laser. Very nice penetrative output. Let me see if i can get them for you.

upgrade to xtremevision would be a wastage. have had extensive experience with it and found it to be a use less upgrade.

From what i have read online, Osram nightbreaker laser are only available in H7 and H4 housing.

I am currently using xtremevision in my corolla. The difference in light output is there, the light is brighter and the throw is also longer. But dont expect jaw dropping results. The difference in light output is not that significant.

There are alot of LED bulbs available on AliExpress that are pretty cheap. Havent had any experience with them yet but they seem a good alternative.

Yes, slightly whiter than OEM.

i am currently using Philips Diamond Vision (5000k) in my Honda City 2014. The light output is white with a blue tinge, looks really nice and definitely better than stock. However 4300k has better visibility. The white light seems ineffective especially at dawn or dusk. It's pretty good in really dark areas with limited street lights.

I've been using Philips Xtreme Vision 130's in my corolla here in the US and am completely satisfied. Also used Osram night breaker unlimited. They were good but only lasted me about 4 months. Don't know if its because the lights are automatically turned on upon ignition or the lifespan was just that low, it was surely a disappointment to see them go out so quickly. My vote is for xtreme vision 130. Those paired with Nokya H11 hyper yellow fog bulbs in the fogs have made it easier for me to travel in the snowy messy weather here in Minnesota.

For retrofit, you'll need a new pair of halogen housing, any idea of the estimated cost of total setup since I won't be messing with my original headlamps?

True...it will be a little expensive. Corolla headlights alone are very expensive.

Yup 4500-6000K range looks better to me, but that's just personal opinion. LEDs I haven't checked as yet. Are you talking about those which come in Vezel? I doubt aftermarket ones could look as good as those.
