Altis reducing engine oil

Dear plz help me. I have altis 2005 with mileage about 200k . I always used ti change oil in time keep air filter extra and clean. Its engine oil is rapidly reducing as every 1000 km reduce about 1 litre. I use ZIC hiflo . I never notice black smoke in early start. It fuel average is good yet as cng local cover 120km with ac and patrol is also fit. From few days a new sould like gheeeee like grinding when left the accelerater pedal. But while pressing or accelerating no sound. What it would. Engine overhaul? Ring? Or somewhat else. Plz plz hurry

Do a compression test and it will tell the shape of the engine.
Any kind of blue or white smoke??

Toyota mentions in the owner manual reduction of 1litre engine oil per thousand kilometres as NORMAL . Practically a Toyota car doesn't reduce this much of oil ,even after driven for 200k kms , unless it has some history of overheating . Anyhow are you first owner of this car ? And since when it has started this ? How much oil you pour in at the time of oil change ?

If car is really burning 1 litre per 1000 km , it should be resulting into noticeable blow from exhaust .

Dear thanks for ur early reply. I am the second owner of this car and half mean about 100k drove it so far. I got its compression test about 8 months before and one piston was weak at about 110-120 while others were about 150. I tried to check smoke but nothing like smoke there. There was another problem that engine oil leaking from timing plate that i corrected and refitted now its ok no leaking. I thought oil reduction is due to leaking 5 months back but after that probelm still exist. Initially it reduce 1 litre after 4000km. But now i also have reduced its use. Now i drive it only local lahore about 800km per month. I purchased 4 litre coolant to flush the radiator but still not until the current problem diagnosed. Kindly suggest some.....

I have altis 2006, reducing oil driven 126,000km.. I overhauled its engine form Toyota Peshawar, costing 70,000rs. New piston rings, clutch plate bla bla... However it still reduces oil around 1 litre per 2500Km... I use liqy moly 10w 40....I have driven 20,000km after over hual and same fault... No smoke, car is fine but just oil reduces.. it reduces a lot when I drive on motorway...from where can I do compression test in Islamabad? and how much does it cost..Thanks

1ZZ-FE i would say one of the dheet engine's produced by toyota my friend has one clocked at 290K KM but still running never overhauled and now after 290K KM it has reduced fuel consumption. But Toyota is known for its dheetness

if you dont have any oil leaks and still are using about 1 litre per 1000 kms with a modern oil like that - then I would suggest you pull the spark plugs and inspect them - if they are crusty white you have a valve seal problem.

normal oil usage is about 1 litre after about 6000 kms.

It would also be beneficial to inspect the PCV and breather pipes for blockage, also make sure the engine gets to normal temperature within about 5 minutes.

when my car's carb was removed i got a chance to see the pcv, maybe the mechanic applied something to it, but it had some sort of blackish paste on it's mouth, what would that be? sludge or some sort of lubricant?

Thanks Xulfiqar bhai. I have precautionly get its radiator cleaned it was about 25% blocked. And get tuned its plugs are at normal conditions no smoky or oily. But throttle body was dirty. On computer there's no smoke seems as well as same in morning start. Air breathing pipes are blowed and seems ok. The sound which geeeee geee was of Manifold. What u suggest should it be changed immediately ? New or kabli?. Now plz guide me what steps ahead for knowing reason for oil reducing. Thnx

My 4efe engine doing same ...exactly same like my brother has narrated..
M hopless and unable to find the solution of 1liter engine oil/1000km..
Plz guide me...spark plugs clear..no smoke.frm dipstick nor tail pipe..
Pvc also working fine...no oil spilled anywhere..no oil drops on car parking place..
I would be thankful to all of u f the solution is provided here cuz dozen of mechanics had told me that engine is fine..but m only the one who looks for progressively drop of engine oil on dipstick...my dipstick has 21 dots..each dot is approximately 143ml mobel oil measures...cuz 143•21=3000ml mobel oil..
Each 100km trip I am facing drops of engine oil on dipstick...i have tried.20 50 total engine oil...still drops in level..then I shifted to shell 10 40 yellow..still drops and disappointment..

Common In Most Of Cases....Stuck Rings Due To Clogged Oil Return Holes

I have checked the car oil chamber and under timing cover..the area was damped with oil but the strange thing is oil drops r not spilled on parking floor..mechanic told me that the oil might fall during high speed. Further he told me that there r many seals in that area..
1liter / thousent km burning oil is impossible because I haven't seen any kind of smoke...it might be leakages.

Timing seal cover is not leaked..
Actually when mechanic give the car high reves then smoke comes out from it...on applying real reves the smoke was visible....but no smoke from the dipstick hole or engin oil lid..no smoke in morning..he told me that ur engin is weak..that really disappointed me..he told me to change ur mobel oil as I was using shell yellow 10 40 synthetic..before this I used 20 50 total..the problem of oil reduction was still there that's y I shifted to semi synthetic 10 40 shell yellow..but he told me to continue with 20 50..may be the smoke on real high reves vanished by thick oil..otherwise I think the engine even in this condition can give me 2 years duty..just I hav to keep an eye at the dipstick level and regularly top ups..as I have seen somewhere that engine can also perform well on 65% engin oil..but top ups up to the optimum level is better..
Still I am confused..that f a car is loosing 1000ml mobel oil / 1000km..there should be heavy smoke all the time...a clear visible well clouded smoke....broken-hearted situation for me..lol car love level is also reduced now...lol hoping for the best..thanks to all of u..whenever the mechanics around the city gives up then u scientifically educated people really helped and guided people alot...appreciate that.tackcare..

Still the same engine runs with 0.5 liter oil /1000km ..the oil consumption is same in all grades of oil. No smoke at morning start..only smoke on applying real high reves...giving me outclassed mpg. Now i am planning for rings or valve seals work cuz my friend told me that piston would b fine..I have also been told to change the assembly but I think if the issue is not big then I should continue with this engine...yes also smoke when I am driving my car by applying 3rdgear by pressing paddle a bit harder.
