the mechanic said it wont do anything

change your mechanic

manufacturer is not stupid to design an engine with items not needed to operate

alot of people suggested me to put alto's carb

change the company of such people with tunnel vision

The only problem iny car is about consumption and it bothers me alot..
I will change the thermostat valve and get the vaccum line connected

share the maintenance history of vehicle

the tappet settings for 2E engine at hot engine cam lobe side up for all 12 valves.

for vaccum diagram use google.

The rings are changed
Carb is serviced many times
The butterfly work is done
The fuel pump is changed
Using the recommended plugs
Plug wires are ok

Update: changed the thermostat valve
The distrubutor timming and valve clearneces were set
Got the carb serviced again as it was overflooding the petrol
The problem is still the same
Within two or three days i will try that alto's carb

You need a good oldschool mechanic who can properly work on carbs. Their is no rocket sciene in doing it. When i used to have corolla 1994 with this engine it used to give me 9-10km/l local and 12-14km/l on highways.

I also have Indus Corolla 1995 (1300 cc, 12 valve engine). Engine is over hauled but still can't obtain desired average.
One good experience is switching over to Mehran carburetor. But condition of carburetor matters. Therefore obtain genuine carburetor, get it repaired if required. Main issue is mixture of air and fuel in correct proportion. Keep fuel injection at min where engine runs smooth for best average
Other things 2 check breaks and ensure they r not jam. Tappet setting, gear oil and wheel alignment.
