Alto vs santro vs cuore

1st place Santro
coz more room, multi-point efi engine, very good on fuel. tho high centre of gravity 'n u feel like ur sitting in a jeep.

2nd place cuore
coz nething is better den a suzuki, plus dey have introduced automatic transmission, which is nice. overall, toyota quality!

3rd place suzuki
no or poor quality control, 1000cc 4 cylinder "supposedly" potohar engine, extremely low revs (even lower den da santro", sucky interior.

but this is jus my personal opinion, if ne1 has ne better reasons y my rating is wrong, im all ears.

Disclaimer. No offense meant ta ne suzuki owners, i just dislike suzuki 2 much being an ex owner of a suzuki cultus.

i totally agree but u r getting a bit unfair alto is better than cuore it has a 44hp as compared to cuore's 40 and more torque thus giving much better performance and it is more roomy and good looking

but if u compare the indian alto it rocks its the fastest car in its class it has a 1061cc 4 cylinders producin 64hp it can reach speeds upto 155km/h and its built quality is so good that maruti even exports it to dozens of countries.

the pakistani version of santro is also sort of a trim down version it has 55hp as compared to the international 4 cylinder 64hp model.
in india a new model of santro was introduced last year but in pakistan it is still the same

i forgot to mention cuore this model of cuore (generation 3) was discontinued in 1988 so its an old car with a not so good engine

Coure is the best !
steering, brakes, handling, overall its the best, havent driven the auto version....the way it goes to 0-100kmph non of the other miniz do.....!
well ya`ll forgot to mention the korean Chevrolet Exclusive!! excellent car but not worth the price...!

Guys, dosent matter which ever car it is the only reason these cars are so successful in pakistan are because they have good "value for money" because of their good fuel economy other wise all of these cars are pretty much sub-standard cars by all means.

Alto 800 is a 16 years old car now and japan stoped production in 1990 or before.

Alto 1000cc is also not in production in japan any more , a new version of 1100 cc was launched in 2003 with 61.3 HP on a completly new platform. but still with saftey rating of 2 stars only.

Cuore 850cc is also a 10+ years old model and current shape coure is completly different. new cuore is also called sirion and kilispe at some parts of the world , got better engine and wider and bigger body.

Current Santro is also a 15 years old car launched in india in 1989 or so

people have to buy these sub standard cars becuase there are simply no options available due to corrupt governments of pakistan.

its not more than 4 years old and it doesnt look outdated also i think u r takin abt the old model

I have deeply analyzed all the cars and according to performance I would rate them as
1st santro
2nd Cuore
3rd Alto

But there are many other factors as well which you cannot ignore.The first one is maintenance. And in that , Alto gets the 1st position as it's maintenance and parts are the cheapest and secondly, it also has the highest market for reselling. The reason for the market is that in Pakistan, everyone sees which car is "ON" , like honda succeded in pakistan and accord didn't. Cuore is amazingly good in handling but is the worst in fuel consumption, and i'm telling you, this car has totally failed on CNG. I have seen the engine of a cuore(2003) being overhauled in january 2004 because it was being run on CNG. And about santro, try to buy a new one and you had it. Even after giving a huge premium, you will still be waiting for long to get the car.
So apart from performance, also keep other things in mind.

santro has a 2 months delivery period and a premium of PKR 40,000/-. dat shows its re-sale value.
regarding suzukis, dey're quality control is pathetic. my 2003 suzuki cultus, used only in isb, had to get its front shock replaced and the engine vibrated worse den a diesel.
regarding cuore, i think u can ruin ne enigne's car within a year. all depends on how u maintain ur car.
so i still say that the santro is the best in the option we have available.

Alto Vs Cuore.......Hmm
Well, cuore wins in quality, alto takes lead in overall look, design, luxury, pick, engine sound, space, safety and resale.
If cuore comes in same size and with same engine as that of Alto, cuore will lead all the way. Otherwise Alto takes lead as overall better car.
Not to forget, I have Alto.

Friends! Can someone please give a comparison between Daihatsu Cuore and Alto. I was planning to buy a cuore, but following factors are forcing me to buy Alto:

1000 CC VS 850 CC

Resale Value

Spare parts availibity and cost.

Availibity of mechanics.

CDI Ignition VS point ignition

Interior and Exterior beauty.

Gas cylinder size 55 liter vs 40 liter

Only 2 things go in favour of cuore:

Some people say its mechanically better + body is strong and It is a better driving experience.. Some say Cuore's Mileage is better too. Could be rumours...

Please comment. Specially those who have driven both of these. Or those who have a cuore. A comprehensive comparison between 2 cars will really benefit new buyers... Thanks..

In the end... I 100% agree... Pakistan's Corrupt government is responsible for all the trouble to consumers. Companies do business for profit so we can't blame them. Govt shud protect consumer's rights. But are Govt is a group of vultures drinking people's blood.

FYI Bro, after the arrival of Cultus VXRi, santro is no more the best in 1000 CC class of cars available in pakistan. You will find alot of topics on PW that describes worth of it.

I'd recommend you go for cultus VXRi if you have room for another lac. But if you still want to go for cars worth 5lac, following is what I can say:

Suzuki has more resale value than santro or coure.

Availability is equal for both of them. However you may find a little bit of trouble finding coure parts, but however you will get em, but suzuki parts are available at every merchanical shop, even at the petrol pump car wash places.

Interior/exterior wise both are equal, coure is a little bit tighter from the inside, however alto is a bit roomy as compared to coure. But i dont know i like coure exterior wise.

Coure ka plus point yeh hay k yeh samsgh lo k corolla ka engine laga huwa hay. Alto ka potohar ka engine hay.

B/w i wont go for any of the car
