Alto vxl AGS Vs Cultus vxl AGS?

Have to buy a pkdm hatch for max fuel economy, will be selecting from Alto and Cultus (AGS variants).
What are the max averages Alto and Cultus AGS can give. Thank you.

AGS is flop, never go for it... Rather choose VXR with MT

Apologies, don't have the exact figures, but probably Alto has a better average because of small body / engine size. You can further confirm in their relevant threads.

But I wanted to ask, if you are going for a new Cultus AGS, why not a Swift? They are almost overlapping in the price department, but there is a day and night difference between them, be it the drive, comfort, acceleration (specially MT), handling / stability etc. Yes, the fuel economy is not like an Alto but I think it is comparable to Cultus, the CVT gives 15-16 with AC in city driving (not with the light foot), while on long - it can give you around 20-23 if you drive it between 100-120. Depends on the driving style tbh.

But yes, if strictly talking about Alto and Cultus, Alto would definitely give better fuel economy.

If fuel difference is not night and day, then swift glx CVT. I know manual swift will give a bit better fuel average but I need auto.

In the fuel economy sector Cultus is your best bet. Manual ones do around 21-22 in the city quite easily with 3-4 persons on board. Cultus Ags variant will do around 20 while Alto Ags do around 19. When driving with 4 persons the fuel economy of Alto Ags drops down significantly ( 3-4 km per litre ) but the fuel economy of Cultus remains consistent. It is simply because of its optimum sized engine as compared to Alto that is 660cc. Moreover, Ags is more than reliable in Alto as well as Cultus. You just need to understand its shifting ratios and you are good to go.

For very long I was thinking that PKDM alto 660cc is under power car.

But recently had chance to ride it. And I was amazed with its pick up while 3 people on board and AC running. She was running like honda city or corolla altis.

Was it ags version?
