Hi, I have bought a used petrol based Alto VXR 1000cc model 2011. My car is giving extremely poor milage. It's 6.5km/L with AC and almost 8km/L without AC. How to deal with this issue as its eating up my pockets? What can be done to improve the mileage?
Is the fan auto? Is the thermostat in place?
Is the ignition system in good shape? Your car should be giving around 10 km/l with A/C in local driving.
I have a similar issue..its giving around about 7km per litre average with ac...the fan is direct..i really dont know why tht is the case though...its driven about 90k km up till now..have used 20w50 for oil if tht should be used..? Thermostat remains in the middle...Is there anyway its average would inlmprove since i have heard its a poor fuel average car anyways..
Alto 1000cc is a fuel guzzler even when it was new.
4 cylinder inline carburetor - fuel sharabi engine .
9kms/ltr is the best it can do. dont expect any family car behavior for this ride, it will empty your pockets before your kids do.
