Amplifer wiring?

I got amplifer of cutting edge 1600 watts. I want to install it in my honda city 2010. I want to buy amplifer wire by myself from hall road as shopkeeper charge lots of money for wiring So i want to know
what size of wire should i buy and how much its gauge should be? for earth wiring and for battery wiring.
please guide me

what are you going to run from it? if its just speaker then you can have normal wiring of around 12 or 14 gauge. or a desi wiring in the same price would be thicker. if its a woofer than 8 gauge or 10 would be good. actually 8 would be too much for such an amp. also it depends on where you want to install it. if its going under the seat you can use a thinner wire than if its going in the trunk. the gauges are of bare metal wire.

8-10 gauge should be enough for you
