Android Auto and Apple Car Play infotainment units

Hi,

Does anyone know where in Islamabad or Rawalpindi can I get this for my 10th gen Civic? I went to the heavily-recommended Disco 2 in Blue Area, and the guy there didn't even know what this is, so I left.

I am guessing Pakistani market is not much aware of Android Auto or Apple Care Play head units. Even though, this is a rage currently in developed world. It used to be a unique selling point 2 or 3 years back, but now most of the manufacturers offer these features as a standard feature of their ICE.

I got introduced to it in my wife's car in 2018 and loved it so much, that I got an aftermarket head unit in my own car back in 2018. I dont know if I can drive a car without Android Auto any more...

Would love to hear from others, if they are using either of Android Auto or Apple Car Play in their cars, or if they are interested about these technologies.

I got this unit installed in 2018. Wireless solutions have only come out from 2019. To get wireless connectivity, you will need 2019 or newer head unit.

The feedback so far about wireless connectivity is that it draws battery too quickly.

Ok. I hope I can find an android auto capable device here. By now the vendors don't even know if their models have this feature or not. Will have to go check out the devices in person after the lockdown.
Besides the ease of use of the android auto, I've always preferred a wired connection over the bluetooth, because bluetooth is kind of lossy. So a connection over the wifi like the android auto wireless sounds very appealing to me. I'm sure even the wired android auto must be very convenient to use cause I always plug in my phone to the aux anyways.
