I want buy android based LED TV for my room. I am confused about various available options. I want to buy original TV not the first copy one. Can any one guide me please through his experience as to which brand I should buy. Here are my requirements
I need aTV with android capabilities so that I can install play store apps on it like Skype etc. Basically I want to use it more or less like a phone

It should have built in storage for app installation, plus provision for attaching external speakers, keyboard etc

It should have major connectivity options like usb, hdmi, vga etc

Is there anyone who is using such TV
Please suggest me a brand that can cater these requirements plus it is reliable

Please guide with your suggestions as I don’t have much knowledge in this regard

Also suggest me a place where I can buy

Today I went to market but one of the salesman told me that Samsung does not have android software on their smart tvs they use their own software which provides youtube, netflix etc, he said samsung smart tv does not support playstore

What about after sales service and parts availability of TCL TVs?
Is TCL also a chines brand?
Somebody also suggested me Hisense
Do you have any idea about it?

I am using TCL ANDROID tv P8 S . TCL is better than HiSense.
Samsung has Tizen software, it's on.

Another way is to get a non Android set and then buy separately android box which will convert any non smart/ non internet or non Android TV into an ANDROID TV. e.g. Mi TV box S, Mi TV Stick, Amazon fire stick...etc

Now that's surprising to me.

If he was the official Samsung sales person, and you went to the authorized Samsung store, then what he said could be acceptable, however, I would sincerely suggest to get in touch with Samsung directly, and discuss your concerns. May be, they have something else to say.

(They have also been making smartphones for BlackBerry)

No exact idea. Hisense is also a Chinese company, but IMO, TCL seems better than Hisense.

What is better option
Buying an android tv
Or attaching an android tv box like H96 Max with an ordinary led TV

I m asking this because android tv tupically has ram of 1 -2 gb which makes it slow
Whereas we can have 4gb ram in android boxes, does this improve performance in comparison to android tv?

We have android box on simple led. 4gb ram with 32gb storage. Works really fine.
Also have used smart tv. Both feel similar to me.

Dear since I have never owned these both, or have experienced them, so I am not in a position to give any final verdict.

I suggest, it would be best if members owning Android TV, or members using smart TV devices on simple TVs, give their opinion and verdict.

I have used Mi box and that was pretty fine as I only used to watch Netflix and Youtube mostly

buy any simple tv.

and buy android smart tv device separately.
