Salam everyone, in this thread I’ll share my experience of getting one after market android navigation panel for honda city 2019.
I couldn’t find any reliable information anywhere so I decided to share my experience here, so that people can get the benefit.
There are two choices for users when it comes to android navigation panel for honda city.
1. Honda dealership
2. Hall road lahore
Why Honda dealership was a no to me?
Reason was the cost of the panel. They charge like 60,000 rupees for the android panel and i really didn’t want to spent that much on a panel.
Hall Road Market
I then decided to go to hall road market. I checked lots of panels and will tell you how i choose one.
How to avoid any scam while buying?
First of all, please be 100% sure that there’s not a single company in Pakistan making these panels. These are all chinese, all of them!!
Seller will tell you it’s from flaa company and flaa company, simply tell him I know all these boxes are being made here and then these panels are being repacked in these Pakistani boxes.
Next thing
They’ll tell you the differentiate between the panels with ram & rom difference.
Like this is 2GB/16GB, this is 4GB/32Gb.
Simply ask, can i install CPU-Z app to check if this ram and rom is actually correct as you’re stating?
They’ll try their best to not to let you check with that particular app. Don’t buy the panel in that case. IT’S A SCAM!
Next Thing
They’ll try to convince you to buy a panel with high specs, like 4GB ram and 32GB rom, and it seems really impressive too. But why do you need 4GB ram in a car navigation? Even 1GB ram can smoothly run google maps, sygic navigation, YouTube and sound-cloud.
My Experience
After visiting lots of shops, I decided not to buy anyone. Because most of them were running an android OS 4.0 and it’s really old. (Whenever i checked with CPU-Z, otherwise the panel would say 16GB rom and 2GB ram and android 9.0)
I came to hall road again after a week, and on my visit to the very first shop, i saw a panel. He said he has 2 types. One is 1GB/16GB and the other one is 4GB/32GB.
I checked them both and bought 1GB/16GB after checking with CPU-Z, android was 6.0 or something. He asked 13500 and i gave him 12500 with fitting.
While the other shops were not going below 15000-16000 at all.
He charged 2000 for both front and back cameras.
Am i happy with my purchase after one month?
Yes i am. Because it works super smoothly and totally flawless. Extremely reliable and works like charm. Brightness is also good. In the night brightness gets dim so that I don’t see lots of light in my eyes. Parking cameras turn on instantly when i put the car in reverse. Sound quality is very good.
Suggestion
Get the panel fitted by an expert. They installed the panel but now when i put the air to indoor, like i don’t want outside air in the car, so i close the outer airflow, the air flow speed gets reduced.
I’ll get it checked when i visit honda next time 
Anyone who can give me any suggestion about it, like how to fix it, I’ll be thankful.
