You have apparently have jolted my mind out of a dream, that is very much possible but the origional plastic joints and clips are in such a bad condition that these can not be worked with. we will need to make things purely in a desi manner clip joints instead of origional plastic ones.

Thats why i was thinking about getting the basic and core things from bilal gunj, e. g. fuse box and plastic joints. Gonna be a big big hassle. Considering the Ramzan and all that effort seems a killer.

No one has commented on the body paint issue as yet.............

you can buy the plastic connectors brand new along with the spade connectors too, no big deal at all.

Are you aiming for a factory restore (honestly suzuki are not very good even from factory) - or are you going for a full proper way.

I meant the same thing, get the connectors from bilal gunj.it is a hassle but sadly I think that is the only place to find them

Edit: I just saw @ xulfiqars post, new connectors are available.

I would use fresh wires and connectors with the same main design as the original one, but maybe include extra connectors for central locking, stap etc

Really look forward to your response, and really enjoy these. I am going for factory or stock resto on it sine it some ones elses car ( my cousin) and being in gujranwala people do not understand add ons and most probably it will be ruined in a year. Factory defaults are memorized by our mechanics and easy to maintain.

I would paint the engine bay in matt black finish (looks nicer) apply a pad of insulation and foil to the firewall too, (not the cheapie type either) - Repair the wiring harnesses correctly and loom them into shape correctly - in Karachi you could buy all the correct cable tie clips and other mount points for the wiring too.

before final paint look at the wiring looming points and look for soft metal plastic coated bands, they are to hold the wiring looms. Make sure they are spot welded before you paint. Also get the air vents for the rear of the car, they play a very important role. Everything will be like factory but nicer looking and very neat.

Btw I know a place that has waxoyl, that is great for coating inside doors and fenders, I wonder if suzuki ever sprayed anything there.

They dont bother to paint the whole car man.. nothing under the car is painted. It does have cavity wax on the edges though, but still..

Just what I expected from those cheapos. My teacher's 88 accord is being restored and the body didn't even have surface rust in the hidden areas, probably because of that wax, the wax was still present on the insides of the fenders

@adil_dar, I am concerned about the caster angle, did the places where chimtay are bolted to chassis survive or new metal was welded there

yes its caster angles were repaired had been holding with dont know what but these were about to fall. And about the paint i was saying that body paint coats done so far seem thickish compared to the doors boot lid and fenders. Is it going to spoil finished product?

i will not go for matt black though it would definitely seem nicer but in this age even these nicer things look odd. Han most of its wiring looms are in tact.

Tell the painter k paint mai kahin bhi jaali na ho, any places where it looks thich and resembles the skin of an orange, tell him to wetsand and compound it.

The red area on the fender is somewhat critical. Idher paint itna properly nai kertay and yahan say ukharna shuru ho jata hai. Iss tarha k edges ko mind mei rakhein, make sure k idher paint smooth hai or properly kia giya hai.

visited painter today and he was wet sanding car to prepare for final coat. He told me that wet sanding will continue on saturday (friday is off) and Insh Allah sunday car will be given final coat.

why is the underside of the car white? - spray it heavy with rubber undercoat. Your lower control arm mounting points look very bad, if you had them freshly welded or similar then I can guarantee you that you car will never hold an alignment. To remedy this you have two choices,

1 replace the entire leg with a new part - it should be available from Suzuki, you can also find someone with a used up half cut and get the entire lower structure of both sides and graft it on the car. I would also suggest you add a lower brace and an upper brace to the car to prevent flexing as that point is the most outwards and will pull the car apart.

2 - you need to rig up a cam bolt system for the arm mounting points - Its not a ground up bolt but an offset bolt which is held captive by two ridges on the body.

Those washers are held captive by two raised lips on the metal structure, when you rotate the bolt head bolt moves in the oblong hole which is in the body
