dear members today i have seen a add in Jang about new Loly pop from indus motors. this model it with out wheel cups, CD player and speakers.

only available in white and black colors.

I suppose Toyota Indus is trying to clear old stock by such moves so that they are done with old CKDs by the time of the launch of the new shape probably in March 2014. Toyota Indus's slogan, "Puraana maal fata-fut nikalo aur gahaak ko yay nahee bataana k naya mall jald aa raha hy, warna puraana maal bikay ga naheen."

Just called the dealer ship, Just like Gli and GLI 1.6 AT LE variants, Now We have a basic XLI and a XLI LE, LE having portable navigation and avalbile in all colors.

basic XLi now doesnt has wheel caps, and Audio and is avalible again in white and black colors only.

One should take both of them to court and make them answerable about why they have taken the lives of rear seat passengers so worthless that they don't even deserve a seat belt. Shame on you both Toyota Indus and Bank Alfalah.

One of my friends works in Indus he told these missing features and the car a while before this was launched.

And FYI the new shape that is 2009 onwards xli does have rear seatbelts, older shape didn't

If this deal is available on cash I find it pretty good since the cost of the things isn't more than 10k, he didn't tell me about this bank Alfalah blunder so can't comment much.

Yes the rear seat belts started coming in from 2008/2009, 02-08 Xli didnt have rear seat belts aswell. The deal is pretty decent specially for Taxi companies/ Rent a car companies, They earn around 2500 a day per Corolla if that makes around 75k a month and the installment is 30k a month the car can be disposed off and with Corollas resale profits.

Other then that the car comes with a XLi invoice, If you add a audio system and wheel caps the becomes a normal Xli.

Thanks for your input. My points are as under:

1. There is little doubt that the best choice for car buyers in Pakistan is the 1300cc line of cars from Toyota Indus considering all the factors the most important being price. Toyota XLi and the GLi are the kings of the road, no question there; that's the main reason Toyota Indus holds 70% of the 1300cc market which is quite amazing.

2. Honda City has not been able to compete with both XLi and Gli as reflected by its small share in the 1300cc bracket. Suzuki is a distant third and not even in sight.

3. My prime concern is taking out an essential safety feature of rear seat safety belts to reduce the production cost of the Bank Alfalah XLi. Safety of the passengers should take precedence over money. That was my whole point. The government should slash off all taxes on those components of the car which makes it safe like seat belts, air bags and ABS brakes so that we can save lives in the event of a car accident. These parts should be mandatory on all cars let alone be allowed to be taken off to reduce the production cost of the cars.

just got back from a wedding in gujrat..barat was a fleet of white and black xlis,around 15..so it is a luxury for the village people alright so why should they give abs and air bags to people who wont even know what the hell they stand for... people dont pay for abs and bla bla in village,they pay for a toyota monogram on trunk literally...
