Another solo trip - a tribute to KKH

Enjoyed view of Khalti lake. PTDC manager was of the view that Phander lake is stunning as Khalti is merely a water blockage by landslide.

After check out, I was back to road for Phander valley. After ten minutes of drive, I saw a couple of little hotels in Gupis but apparently they were closed for good, may be because of shortage of tourists in this area.

Very low Telenor signals at Gupis now dropped to zero. I started using mobile phone also for pictures as friends and family wanted me to share the pictures where ever I can.

While manager was recording my particulars in the guest register, those girls stepped in and started talking to waiter in native language. Just one sentence in Urdu "chai zura strong bunaana".

Amazing Trip Bruh... loved it really owsum...i am also thinking to Visit Hunza side this Summer + fairy meadows... Nice narrations and lovely Pictures... Solo trip ahan it confuses me..why lonely...!! its Good to have friends..But anyhow..everyone has his own thinking and Nature...Best ov luck..bruh

Actually, I hit two milestones on the top end of KKH (a) Khunjerab pass at 4,510m (b) In our college and university life, we had often heard boys saying each other "oyay thurkey" "thurak char raya cee" etc. This term remained vague re who qualifies to be called "thurkey".... and at Khunjerab pass at last in my 40s I saw the creature "thurkey", someone who was genuine thurkey.

I will show you this creature on two legs when we will reach Khunjerab top.

Actually I am not sure when I can leave for vacations, it is only a day or two before the planned trip when I am sure I can leave my work. There were two others who had planned this trip and waited for more than a month for me to be ready. When the moment came, one had started a new job a week ago and my old travel buddy was getting his house painted.

Above all, I have developed taste for traveling alone while exploring few other countries.

This Phunder valley (excluding Phunder lake) is simply amazing.

There is one section between Gupis and Phunder that is washed away by flood and there is a bypass track crafted between boulders.

During this trip, I have seen a number of places devastated by floods....no media coverage.....as the areas involved and number of casualties were small. The areas where people were living for centuries and locations were safe....we are cutting trees ruthlessly without replanting.......

Quick query - a couple of friends and I are planning a trip on coming Thursday thru Sunday. We plan on seeing the maximum places, more of a touch'n'go. Getting tired is not an issue.

Would you recommend this journey for a 3.5 days trip?
