Released on 1st August 2021, it was one of two new Technic sets released together. More importantly, the 42128 brings pneumatic functions back to Technic after many many years... So this set got many rave reviews..

Sticker sheet

As always I am not really a fan of stickers, as they lose their glue after a few years and sometimes discolours in some time. Even for an expensive set like this, Lego still decided to cheap out and include stickers. I would much rather prefer they printed bricks...

LEGO Sessions

A large set like this requires a lot of time and effort to be built and more importantly enjoyed.
I usually work in sessions of 2 hours or less in one sitting. I noticed any longer sessions take my concentration away, or worse, i start feeling backaches etc.

This set came with bricks divided into 4 sets.

Session 1

As always, LEGO includes large colour printed book with the set building instructions.

Last page of instruction book

The last page fold shows the various pneumatic functions available and how to operate the truck. Very handy, as you will need them, as we found out later.

Quite a dense build so far, with lots of small details.

Progress so far has eaten about 3 hours of my time, mostly due to being away from a complex Technic build for long time. For an experienced builder, this step would take less than 2 hours.

Session 2

I didnt get a chance to work on it for a week. I opened bags labelled as #2 after a full week of waiting.
But first you will notice, I like to organise some of the bricks in an orderly fashion, atleast the larger ones.
