I hav 09 civic with new dash. I looking for a audio system for it.
I dont want to change the indash player.

I m thinking one Amp for the Speaker (should i change the stock speakers if Yes .. then which one i should choose, More importantly which Amp to choose for speakers? )

Also looking for 1-2 woofers with base (should i go or 1-2 .. and which one)
also suggest an Amp for woofers as well.

Mu budget for this setup is 60K ( not necessary to spend it all, i just want a good system, if it cost less than good, but even if i have to spend a little more that wont be a problem)

Dear Bro, first of all a little patience...

you want to upgrade the system, the first thing that should go is the stock/factory speakers. depending on the type of music you listen to, you have a choice of kenwood 718, pioneer 6902 and sony 6940. also there is jbl available in the market. since you have a budget that high, i would suggest that look for some high end speaker and component systems. if you want a stock look of your car then get front and rear component system speakers of kenwood or pioneer or if you can find, of alpine. mount the tweeters of the rear components on the middle door pillars.

for woofer my personal choice is a single woofer. get a sealed box if you like sound quality or a ported one if you like boomy sound.

for amps choose 2 amps. 1 four channel amp for front n rear and one 2 channel amp for the woofer. some PW members will better help you in that field.

actually i sold my 08 city along with the system i used to have in it.
It had 2 Infinity Speakers (i luved there quality)
1 Alpine Amp for speaker
2 kenwood Woofers
1 Sony Xplode Amp for woofers.
And offcourse imported wiring kits where used.

Now the sound was very good. but i sold the system with car as i wanted something better in new Car.

Now coming to the issue at hand. as i said , i dont want to change the Pre, as i has a 6 Cd changer Indash player and i cant change it as it looks very good with the interior.

I hav tried to look for it , but i could not find the Brand of the Stock speakers. anyway i was thinking Infinity would be Good Idea. Also can someone explain what exactly is "component System" ? and "tweeters" ? which model speakers should be used at front and at rear. Should a seperate be bought for speakers, if yes which one.

Woofers could be 1 or 2, If one then which one (model, company) should it be, i would like some real good Bass. If 2 then same question.
also abt Bass tube, should it be seperate ( 2 seperate boxes for 2 woofers, or one large one like i used to hav). i was thinking to that i will get the one side of the Bastube made of flexglass and put some cathodes/neon in it if possible. And most importantly which Amp, which can provide enough juice. ( i dont hav CNG, no plans for CNG, so no issue of space)

DO i need a capacitor or anything else?

budget as i said i was looking for something around 60K, but i willing to spend more if i can get a better system.

component speakers usually have a crossover unit that sends high frequencies to tweeters and mids to mid. the produce high quality sound. the tweeters are the part of speaker that produce treble, i.e. chun chun sound.

coming to speakers, do u want to keep stock look of the car? in that case what is the front n rear speaker size? if its 6 inches round for both then get component speaker systems. u can get pioneer 1720 series component speakers for both. if u dont want round speakers for rear than u can get the infinity that u like so much. and yes a separate amp will be necessary if you want to have good quality sound in ur car

for woofers everyone is talking about 308s these days but since i dont have any experience with em, u r better off asking someone else.

go for kenwood 3010. anything with a recommended power with 200-300rms. that will play better in your car. it can be a single 4 ohms coil or d2.

i still use bass box pro. recently its been acting very strange. i have to litterly make 2 boxes for each setup..... the last box for 2 cv came out to be terrible with 2 4" ports. then i had to alter it with a slot port tuned to 35hz... and now it sounds gr8

i have a 88 charade and am looking to install a decent setup in it...im planning to get kenwood 718's and pioneer 3150ub pre...all i need is to buy a good woofer in 4k to 5k range...ive heard pioneer 308d4 and jbl 1204d are good..please suggest the better one or any other woofer...thanks

for speakers with quality you should go for pioneer 6902 or fusuion or alpine. 718 is not a quality speaker. for woofer i would suggest jbl.

salam, i have a pioneer hu, 718speakers and a PREMIER 2channel amp.. Shuru shuru mai system fit chal raha tha.. lekin ab earth ki noise aati hai accelerator k sath koi bump se guzro tu bohut high hojati hai wht shld i do?
