Hi I've a question Ener yar I've just applied some sound deadning material on car's boot because of too much rattling now the rattling has gone but Im feeling somehow the bass level has decreased to some extent. I'm currently using Type -R 15" @ 1ohm on VTREK. Can u please tell is it the sound deadning which is decreasing the bass or what?

Its the carpet underlay that you mentioned on your thread

well sound deadening is used to decrease the rattles and road noise. if you feel a noticeable difference than it means that you have applied the deadening properly. what you need to do now is have a way to make the bass come into the cabin. if ur rear seat has an arm rest, open it and get the back cut so that bass can come in he cabin. or you can have one or two holes of about 4-5 inch dia cut into your rear parcel shelf.

sound level will increase inside the cabin as all the energy is focused one side but yes from the outside, it will sound less. many ppl here have a habit of listening to system from the outside, in tht case, ur sound system volume will decrease.

Well I dont listen from outside in fact I always listen to it with my window glasses shut. By the way thanks for the guidance I tried cutting back side of arm rest on the rear seat and it did work indeed thanks to madhouse.

yes armrest is alwaz imp. but it has no effect on dampening material

of course it does not have any effect on the dampening material. when you apply dampening material you are not only stopping rattles and outside noise from coming in, you are also stopping inside sound to go out of the car. with the back of arm rest in place, the bass is trapped inside the trunk and can not reach the cabin. with the arm rest back cut, the bass can enter the cabin.

Ya but bass response has increased by armrest technique besides that I'm not a person who wanders through the whole area with boom boom like those saying oh I've got sound system of 35k is'nt it great

du make new tuned box for d4 nd change ur amp aswell wch'll atleast givs 300to400rms @2ohms + list down ur remaining stuff here like headunit and wiring status so that v'll advice u better!

step 1 : change woofer to d2.

step 2 : change fine audio to somthing better

step 3 : tune ur box professionally
