Any car audio problem, I can help. (Part 2)

I have PIONEER KEH-P8650.
Luckily I got all kind of manual this time.
But another problem here!
I check the unit by only giving power (red and Orange for positive and black for negative) to the unit and it seems ok but display is very dim.
According to manual it has a another power line (yellow) to be connected to head light switch (??for dimming the display at night when lights are on).
When I gave the power to yellow wire with other two wires the display almost switched off but other lights are ok.
According to manual there is option to switch off dimming but that menu doesn't appear during the checking.
Is this due to something wrong with the unit? or something wrong with my checking? (I only gave the power no audio/antenna/cd/cassette)

i am trying to attatch an aux input in the IN_DASH belta cd player

it has a connector for cd changer ...i have found out that the pins are for

but the pre doesnot seem to detect the input

it is a mute input that is probably used by the pre to detect if there is a an input signal

the TOP LEFT Connector

can u help me trick the player into thinking that a cd changer is connected

also got detailed info from this

the mute is probably there to turn the volume down when a call is received

got my issue resolved
it was the output wire that needed to be changed though disappointed by work of disco 2,since they opened right side door panel,door isnt opening from inside

if it was that pathan guy who opened the door, then yes, u can expect smthing to go wrong. i always get my work done by the main guy (forgot his name)

btw u mean that the lock isnt opening or that the door wont open when u pull on the leaver even when the lock is open?

it was the tall bulky guy,light beard
door isnt opening on pulling lever,i went to him yesterday,showed it to him,n he said go to denter n tell him to do something with the wire,though it was working perfectly fine until he opened it
he said push the lever area n then open it,so i use 2 hands to open the door now

I am facing an unique problem in my chevy exclusive ls company fitted audio player. It was not used for 2 years n when I tried to listen to radio station I noticed it's only catching Am while FM is not working. Checked with chevy guys n thy are unsuccessful by any means. So what can be the issue n how to solve?

well u can install them without an amp but that wont do justice to the components. Since ur not planning on installing a sub, adding an amp is a must.

also whats ur budget for the components and amp?

u need to sound deaden the trunk. this can be done via sound deadening material sold in shops. but the better the quality of the deadener, the more it will cost.

eg dynamite, stinger roadkill etc will cost u alot. cheaper alternatives (that do the same job in a lesser price) are lambda sheets available in islamabad. u can also come across some other brands too.

I know that for what reason the tweeters are for, i mean they produces the high frequencies. And they are the main components in a component speakers.
So my question is.. Are tweeters also available without components. Can they also be fitted directly to the pre.? Does buying them without amp worth there cost. What is the minimum cost of a Chinese or branded one. Can they also be attached to the pre without the option of tweeter..?
I will be waiting for all your answers..! Thanks in advance.

apart from them producing higher frequencies, components speakers are preferred because of the multiple mounting options for the tweeters. Meaning the vocals are faced right at you rather then bouncing off your legs, seats etc.

Yes they are available without components. the 2 easiest models you will find are the PIONEER TS-S20 (cost around 3k) and SONY XPLOD H-20S (cost around 2.5k). Id stay away from chinese stuff even if theyr considered very good.

The can be fitted directly to a PRE. these tweeters have an inbuilt crossover so you can just run them off the speaker cahnnels on a pre.

However just like a midbass driver, these also need alot of power (40rms+), while almost all pre's have an output of 22rms per channel, so if u get an amp, not only will you have more options of frequency tunings but also your tweets wont be underpowered.
