@rolx
u have missed MItsu 4D65/68 and Pajero engines, (dont know the code) they are also the same cetagory
But these engines require a learned mechanic who works according to specifications and tolerances.
Our Mechanics and Kharadias are all trained on Toyota engines of all sorts. They have perfected themselves about Toyota specifications and tolerances by trial and error experiments.
HOwever when they apply same specifications to Nissan, Mazda, Daihatsu or Mitsubishi Diesels, everything gets messed up and engines and cars are blamed very easily. Obviously Mechanic or Machnist cannot be blamed, he did his job, thats it.
Get a CD17 overhauled from a knowledgable person, and feel the difference youyrself. we have 2 cars running around with same sound after overhaul. Both have done 100000 Kms + and are still goind strong. All work was done with Genuine parts and specifications. Total cost was around 28000 Rs.
