how can u keep ur tranny frm getting screwed up? the answer is BEFORE TIME MAINTAINENCE. heres a list of tasks i recommend for a CVT idsi to be going gud.
1) engine oil change at 3000kms max (manual can do even 6000)
2) valve clearence AND throttle body service (by detaching it from engine and also further dismantling the idle speed sensor from it and cleaning it) to be done at MAXIMUM 15000kms (normal is 20k kms, manuals go unnoticed with jerks untill 25000kms)
3) plugs to be changed with the above service too.
4) air filter change at MAX 10,000kms. air clean it every 2000kms.
5) change the transmission oil every 30,000kms MAX. honda ppl recommend doing it aat 40,000kms but remember, u gotta do it before that.
thats it.if u do all this, ur car wont be creating problems at all.infact a friend of mine has a 2005 model vario and hes been following these tips.his car has done 130,000kms on cng, still going strong...
so,if u have no other option, just go for it but get it done frm a gud mechanic and NEVER ignore any unusual behaviour in engine.
as for the kit, go for landi renzo and cylinder can be any except EKC.cuz EKC has been banned now due to bad quality.
