Anybody travelling to northern area

hey....i am new in pakwheels and read lots of posts about travelling to northern areas. i wanted to know if any one is planning to travel to khunjrab pass or skardu any other northern area after eid, probably during july first week or so.

I am sure many of Pak wheelers are going this summer and I am one of them.

Going to Hunza, Khunjrab, Deosai and Fairy Meadows in this trip via Naran / Babusar.

I didn't notice this question was posted in "Bikers" category. I am going on car.

I would have welcomed you but I am with family. This trip is just a survey of Deosai. I plan to visit again after monsoon season (end August to earliest September) on a 4WD and cross deosai to reach Skardu.

If that's plan matures, sure I will invite you.

Okay thanks, btw I have visited places like hunza, fairy meadows, skardu, astore and tarshing but not yet deosai. So it's a dream for me for the last many years

Oh strange , you went to Astore and didn't visit Deosai?

I plan camping at deosai for a night at least but not with family. As such I am looking for a companion willing for such an expedition, I will plan a trip once I come back.

The next vehicle will be a Pajero Mini or a Toyota Fortuner.

We wanted to see both views of nanga parbat I-e raikot face and rupal face thats why couldn't spare time for deosai. In our 2nd tour we visited hunza, sost and skardu so could hardly see sadpara lake and 2 kachura's lakes

But I won't favor deosai after mid august because no flowers and too cold there at night and there will be chance of snow fall also

How about end July then?
You know rain feels good only if it is not falling on you and you just watch while under a proper shelter.

I am afraid of rain on a tent.

I live in gujranwala. No worries for rain as monsoon doesn't affect northern areas that much. Monsoon range is normally up to naran or hardly ti I'll ll babusar
