Anyone going to K2 basecamp in July/August next year?

I am seriously considering going to K2 basecamp in my vacations next year in July or August. This will be my first time doing this trek. I am no experienced backpacker. If someone has the same plan let me know.

Mr Baba Khan before you are trying to attempt the K2 base camp why not you should do some easy trek so you can learn from it the more you gain alot of experience from it so in future you can do big treks rest is your choice

I dont live in Pakistan, my next visit after this trip will be in 2021. I am in very good shape, i regularly run more than 5km per day. I know its a tough trek but mentally and somewhat physically I am quite prepared.

@asifcae what you will advice to our fellow brother should he attempt K2 basecamp without any experience?

rehan bhai i never recomend this trek or any other tech or long trek to first timers.... but aaj kal mahool aisa ha many ppl just want to start with this trek... i hope the poster is not just doing it for the heck of it....

its very unfortunate tough... i started trkking in 2006 and atempted this trek in 2010

I have done more than 11miles (almost 17km) hikes without any problem including one in Utah's desert. I run more than 4 miles per day and am in very good shape and I have already started working on cardio and endurance for the trek. I know there is altitude issue in k2 trek too but i dont get to visit Pakistan too often. In fact this will be my first time in 6 years and i am pretty sure i will be posting my experience here in September insha Allah.

thats gud to know... best of luck.... its not that u wont b able to do it.... its abt enjoying it if ur used to trekking and camping experience.... i am sure that with ur physical condition u can do it ....
