Sir let me tell you a simple test if RS is 'working' or not. Post pictures of you car in direct sunlight with closeup. If there are swirls present then there is no RS and if not then its working.

Bird droppings are literally clear coat eater. They should be removed as soon as possible. And Its good to know that you are happy with their service. I too have a black car and i know how difficult it is to keep it clean in our enviroment.

There will be swirl marks. Even if the sealer is still present, because as autophile said, they just washed the car and applied the coat. No paint imperfection removal done.

If he got RS done within 6 months of buying the car then there shouldn't be or very few.

Look they said it would be good for three years, and now almost six years. There are swirls, but you can only seem them in direct sunlight from some angle. But the cleaning is still so easy.

I can still clean my car to a wet black shine with a damp cloth even if it is dirtied in rain. I do it quite often I ask this question from all black car owners that is it possible?

6 months?? Just get your car washed for 10 to 12 times from a local car wash and examine it under sun light. Secondly Locally manufactured cars have just average paint quality. Compare one with 3 year old japanese and ull knw the difference.

Don't it leave the white residue?? (water marks). Its a pain to dry a black car.

Are you trying to say that washing your car at home with your own hands using $100 microfiber cloth won't result in swirls? Search some international forums such Meguiarsonline, Autogeek and Detailcity etc and you will come to know that no matter what you do, swirls will always come up on dark colored cars.

And yeah, the japenese car myth is getting too lame now. As I said, search international forums and you will see brand new ferraris and other supercars with swirls getting paint correction and here masses believe 7 years old vitz would have a out of this world paint quality. Be realistic

Also let me add here and tell all detail enthusiasts that posting pics from a distance means nothing. If you want to show your detailing skills or wax/detailing collection, post pics in a strong light source with a closeup so that all defects are visible. Sir as I said above, I have a reference point with which I want to compare. Your car had an advantage that should have remained swirl free for 3 years. My car was never waxed so we have your car with 2 year exposure to swirls and my car with 3.5 years exposure to swirls. Lets post pics and compare!

I am not so deep into detailing, nor always keep my car clean. Do it once in a week or after longer time spans. Swirl or no swirl, I do not mind.

What i am trying to tell is that there in NO SWIRL FREE finish even in a brand new car. So judging by the swirls, you can't compare your car with autophile's as it will obviously contain swirls.

About the paint myth. I was refering to the QUALITY of paint ( not the swirl free finish which offcourse is not possible ) which whatever you say is superior when compared to locally painted cars.

And yes, i never get our cars washed from a local service station. and yes my cars have swirls even though they are waxed twice a month and polished every 6th month.

Dear Fellows,

I got RS done on my brand new corolla 2009. Pics are attached in my profile album. Got this treatment done in June 2010. Had extremely high expectations. But unfortunate enough, I did not get what i was expecting. The promise for its sustainability and no need for waxing did not materialize. I am a black car lover, and new corolla already had enough shine. My thirst for shine did not come to end. In fact I wax my car with Mother's liquid polymer wax every two weeks and thats the only way I achieve my satisfaction. To me, it was simply no use spending Rs 5000 that they charged me. Got this done in Pindi.

Bhaijaan koi faida nahi hain royal shield ka, if u wax/polish you car with good quality means Turtle(ICE Series),3M,Meguairs the your car will shine as brand new, i think its kind of a waste of money and if you dont have time to spend 4 hours on your car in every money than go to royal shield, but to maintain that shine you need to use the wax.

sure it also be coated with teflon. it will also provide more protection to ur paint

the odd thing is that here in the US Toyota supply you a bottle of similar sealer with brand new car to be applied twice a year - keeps the paint surface protected from most elements unless some big sharp rocks hit your car on the highway

I never got it with an '10 Corolla.
