Sir, your car may be 2 years older but you have taken care of it and have spent money on it including the product in discussion, Royal Shield, while my car has done over 150,000km and has never been waxed (except for a couple of times when it was bought in 2007).
However let me say here that I am not claiming RS is useless. The real purpose of RS is protection as you have correctly mentioned instead of shine which many people confuse it with. RS will provide unmatched protection but realistically speaking, people in Pakistan do not care much about protection and rightly so. Very few people keep cars for more than 5 years and even if they do, compound polish every 2-3 years solves all problems. Mint condition 99 civics are testament to this theory.
When it comes to waxes and top coats, RS can not keep up with the shine, something I have myself witnessed comparing 2 new civics (one RSed and one treated with coats of waxes plus top coat). Also for someone like me, who is involved in detailing and loves his cars like a family member, regular detailing with waxes creates an element of personalization, which 'once a 2-3 year RS job' can't replicate.
Let me say here that RS is a very good product however it lags behind when it comes to value for money. 8500 for a sedan like corolla is way too steep and therefore it does not provides value for money. RS would have had better success had it been priced around 5000 for a sedan and 3000 for a hatchback/smaller cars.
In the end, I would say that my offer is still open, not for the sake of competing or challenging you, but having a friendly discussion over a cup of coffee to discuss detailing and cars
so please do contact me whenever you are in lahore as I also want to see your car
Cheers!
