Anyone here who converted Carby mehran to efi? Cost?

Hi

Anyone here who covered stock Carby engine to efi?
Is it doable to current engine without swapping it?
Items required and costing?

I m more interested in knowing if it would be possible to do a 100% swap of efi mehran parts and the parts that needs to be replaced.

Please pardon this threat by just saying it's a waste of resources, or at least give some valid reasoning.

yes you need to swap complete head, and some electrical modifications done to connect an ECU without any change in engine number. - such swap done in Okara by sourcing parts from Lahore Bilal Gunj costed Rs. 40,000 including parts & labour, In March 2018 a member posted the thread which i can no longer locate, on PW, as usual threads disappear in blackhole.,

So we're those parts from New mehran?

Is it possible to install new mehran head, and other parts in old one?
That will be very neat and clean upgrade.

I converted 5af to 5afe (E for efi) myself.
Check the injectors location if they are on intake manifold and bolts pattern of intake manifold are same then yes it's possible.
It depends upon engine it's is not compulsory that heads configuration is change. Like in my case 1st gen of 5afe efi system is designed to work on a carby style head.
Still it's worth to done on a mehran. Better to swap the engine. I done it just as a experiment.

Thanks the question is not asking whether to go efi or engine swap.

If someone has his engine head and carbi in bad condition then slightly more investment for better new parts would be advantageous. Every thing has initial cost.

First compare both manifold and head side by side. Honestly i don't think there would be a big difference as you know Pak suzuki

it is doable.

you will be needing following items.

1. engine head
2. intake manifold complete with throttle & air cleaner box.
3. exhaust manifold ( optional- it has O2 sensor slot ) you can drill hole in exhaust manifold to insert sensor
4. EFI ECU Card
5. Re-do of electrical wiring to connect fuel pump & other sensors
6. electronic fuel pump in fuel tank

all such NEW items are available in open market and will cost under 100,000 including labor.
