I have swapped a 1KZ TE into my 1989 Isuzu trooper. It overheats at 120km/h on motorway but at 110 and under its stays halfway on the temperature gauge. Doesn't overheat in city driving.
I had the front swapped to a 90s prado aswell to accommodate the engine better. Problem is the engine is slanted upwards, The front is higher than the rear, its not possible to straighten the engine due to space. According to other forums my main problem seems to be air being trapped in the fourth cylinder.
I have tried a bunch of different radiators, big and small. Made air ducts in the bumper to increase airflow. Unfortunately none have made a difference
I have seen people abroad use header tanks in swaps and looks like its a good solution for this situation. Problem is no one in peshawar has done this or understands the concept of header tanks.
Any mechanics or shop owners in Islamabad, pindi that have tackled this situation or know of any that have so I can take it to them. Any advice for my situation is welcomed.
Thank you
