The thread started a while back, but I'm just posting my personal experience for anyone interested in future.
I live with my parents and siblings in a 1 kanal house and we installed a solar geyser straight off when we built the house in 2015.
We're about 4-8 members living at any given time. Some of us come and go.
So basically we had just the one geyser. It ran pretty good for the 2 or 3 people who showered in the first in the morning. The rest had to make peace with either a water rod or whatever water temperature was in the O/H tank lol
Company we used was Nanx. It even had an override system to heat up on electricity. Ever since we started to schedule it's electric heating, obviously we started to lose out on the electricity bill. That was a dumb move really but the we hadn't installed the gas geysers so we didn't have a choice. Everyone needed hot water. Sometimes it even got used up in the kitchen before anyone could have a shower.
The point is, that this thing is only efficient if you're a small family and your usage is under control. If you have a helper/maid in the house, be prepared to have an icy cold shower every now and then
We learnt our lesson the hard way. Paid for the solar geyser, paid heavy bills, installed gas geysers and now find it a bit more convenient.
We still have it, if any one wants to take it off our hands for 25,000. you'll have to unplug it at your expense or I can have someone charge you for it. But don't buy it if you have more than 2 washrooms. Even then there's the element of cloudy weather.
