Under normal conditions temp stays a bit lower than in pic.
Its normal if it falls in the range I've marked in pic. Head gasket ka issue nhi... with excessve overheating head gasket fails.. head gasket doesn't raise temperatures.
Just chk for all fluid levels

Its not normal at all. There have been a few cases where Civic X's heated and had their engines seized while going up north. In normal operating conditions, heat gauge should not climb whatsoever. There is something wrong with the car. Get it checked asap.
I had 8th gen civic. Drove it up north couple of times. No heatup issues whatsoever.

No it’s not. Please don’t give wrong advice without proper research. There’s no real steep road on route to Naran and temps shouldn’t go beyond the 50% point.

This is definitely not normal. Even on a difficult climb this should not happen in a 2018 Civic unless there is a specific issue. I went to Swat in June all the way from Karachi in my Civic Turbo and never encountered this issue.

Change oil to 5w-30

Nope. I don't think 5w-40 has got anything to do with heat up issue. Recommendations for 5w-30 are on other notes.

Get the radiator washed from any service station. Dirt and dust built up over time on the fins impacts radiator's efficiency under heavy load.

Please change to honda genuine 5w30..5w40 isn't recommended for your car at all. You're using thicker oil then whats recommended for your car.
Oil also cools down your engine.

If you don't wanna go to dealership then switch to a same grade oil.

Insane suggestion. His car would still have coolant inside. Radiators don't choke at all if you use coolants for whole life.
