Apps in pioneer dvd players

i was searching on net but cant find any relative topic on Apps in pioneer 4450 8450 and many other dvd players.

This is advanced application mode. The icon you mentioned comes up when you hook up iphone/ ipod with a dedicated cable (CD-IU 201s) which supports advanced application mode.
Once you hook it up, you can run any application/ game on your player's screen.
