yep its really good for your engine too. Your engine would have bad valve seals that is causing oil consumption

yes my car gives smoke when it is started or when i rev it really hard, almost no smoke at normal low rpm driving

the precious metal plugs are only good for long life - dont expect miracles from them. meaning you will install them once and never open them up again till 140,000 kms have passed.

For oil filter you need the longer 100mm (4 inch) filter) it has the part prefix of PH1 in it, It is known as "accord ka genuine filter" in Karachi. Its slightly taller than the civic one.

For clutch set the factory items are VCC - any japanese origin, Exedy, Paraut etc are good items.

The gear oil required in manual gear is delo gold 15w40 - it takes 2.5 litres of it - Dont be surprised - its true.

For power steering oil - only use Honda PSF

For coolant any hoat coolant works, toyota is a good choice as the engine block is cast iron.

Brake oil = any DOT3 or DOT4

keep it simple its all actually written in the manual and in places on the car too.

yep - bad valve seals, replace em. The hard rev oil smoke is actually the oil residue in the exhaust pipes being burnt.

my new wires just arrived, i found the original ones, they are made in 2004 :P, new old stock. resistance per foot is between 3 and 6 kohm. car feels better already

Guyz i recently gave my accord for complete engine overhaul but unfortunatley the block has a crack n crank canot be replaced as the engine was built already couple of times...
Have searched alot to get the OEM engine in shershah but clndt find it so now i have no other option than swap

NOW THE SWAP
Now the real thing is m planning a swap on it
engine i m considering keeping my budget in mind is D15B Dual VTEC
The car chasis is solid as the engine is out of the car now n evrything is clear to me....

Things m confused with are
1 will the swap be sucessful as this accord has its engine rite in the center of the engine bay
2 Will the chasis be altered for mounts n is it worth it?
3 Will wiring make an issue as the car is Carb n the engine i willl be getting will b efi with an ecu

UR suggestions will be very helpful guyz
Speacially
People who have done swaps n knw where to get the rite engine in what price

P.S: I bought this accord for getting luxury n no doubt m really happy with the drive of her its way awesom n m not going to sell it.

zulfiqar bhi need Help... I need wiring diagram for power antenna , its Honda civic 2003 antenna have two wires coming out of it and Pole switch had four wires all cut .. Antenna work fine if direct current is given it goes up while reversing wires it come down kindly guide me so i can connect it with its Pole switch .. i am attaching reference picture

i had changed my car's gasket few days ago but the problem i am facing is the thread for the head bolts on the engine block is messed up a little now bolts cannot be tightened properly resulting in poor starting and decreasing water level in radiator and overheating please suggest me some remedy for it, my mechanic said just repair your engine block from kharadia he will make new threads by putting bushes in block i just want to ask is it a reliable solution or i have to change the whole block for it?

@xulfiqar bhai, I want to ask about injectors. someone tell me when need to put injector cleaner should mix half tank simple petrol and half tank high octane and should drive car for 120kms at 120km/h that will clean injectors. is it okay? as any other person tell me if any person using simple petrol he should use simple, not high octane. I want to put injector cleaner to clean my injectors. before I went to petromin, they put cleaner in car but I'm not satisfied with that.

you would have a separate circuit for the lamp in the switch, then you should have switched power coming into the switch and a ground that is swapped around depending on position and two for the motor.

this is mostly due to bad temperature sensor or faulty bus - the same coolant sensor is shared between

the ECU
the gauges
the HVAC unit.

through the BUS

scan and check for errors - you most probably will see it.

temp in ISB is 0C-45C (MIN AND MAX),so the appropriate SAE rating for cars in Islamabad should be 20w-40??what i fail to understand is why people fancy 0w-40 for Christ'sake this aint arctic on the other hand people use 10w-30 even in summers when the outside temp reaches 45C-imagine the car standing on a signal in direct sun with air con running-i think that is one easy way to eff up an engine
what i want to know is am I doing it right since i use 20w-40 or 20w 50 (cheapest brand available-usually havoline )and i rather spend my money on timely change and OEM filters

Aoa..I recently observed that a a small pipe that is connected to air filter assembly and engine is missing in my civic 2005 and the air filter hole is also sealed .. is there any affect on performance..
