lol - senior techs not accustomed to workign on this engine? are they from the WW2 era of Mercedes?

btw - this sealant is loctite 5800 - MB sells it like this and charges extra money for the package. I prefer the General Motors/AC delco sealant - it seals up better.

I have packed 2 M272 engines with it (balancer shaft issues) - and one with toyota FIPG - the GM one was nicer because it stays in place where I put it and doesnt look ugly when the job is finished.

Okay so they have at least correct sealant but coudnt possibly have set in 20 mins even though it was a small area?
The package with the gun seemed neat

Their excuse was we have done this job many times on m271 and once on 2001 c230 with kompressor on m111 but didn't have clearance issues. My model is unique?

Dear Xulfiqar,
I have civic 2000 model D16B2 AUTOMATIC.
For few past months I am getting average of 7.5 to 8 km/l.
I have done following things
1- switched tio 4:1 regular/hioctane mixture fuel.
2- throttle body service, with change of plugs and plug wires.
3-switched to 20w50 from 10w30.
4-Transmission oil change with ZIC.
But poor fuel average with loss of acceleration and sluggish gear shifting is still there.
Now my mechanic is telling me to replace transmission assembly as he checkedl compression in 4 cylinders and found them to be ok.
he also scanned ECU for error codes but no code is found.
Also engine is not giving any smoke and eating oil.
My car used to touch 160km/hr easily just 2 months back easily but now taking it beyond 110 even in d3 is dream even i cannot overtake 660cc cars despite having 1600cc engine,
kindly help me out. IF Tranmission assembly needs change which assembly should I go for?
MY concern is not fuel economy but very poor engine performance.
i am driving car as if i am towing truck behind it.

Btw thank god I had meguiars super degreaser with me form which to clean that area

I saw them using pure petrol to clean the engine bay of a 2014 s400 hybrid. They say that petrol is most safest as it evaporates and it doesn't damage any rubber parts as they quickly dry it with compressed air throughly and cover up all the painted parts

Still I know diesel and oil is bad but petrol seemed just as bad too no? The way they were literally squirting it over the engine and rubbing with a brush.

that is stupid - petroleum is actually prohibited to clean any plastics or rubber parts in the MB service literature. a water based citrus degreaser is mentioned to be used - the same one which is used to wash off the cosmoline off a new car's engine.

ECU original to car?
injectors original to car?
fuel pressure correct?
compression timing correct?
ATF level correct?
how much ATF was changed? - colour and condition of old ATF?

valve clearence correct. Mechanic has done tappets.
I always doubt about originality of ECU and vtec working as my car has fuel cut off at 5k rpm. But then my mechanic told me when car is not moving and you accelerate car on idle its normal. he then drove car put it in neutral and accelerate the car and rpm goes all around to re line at 7.5 k.
he declared ECU original to car engine.
Injectors are of honda city 2000 1300cc replaced because original were not available.
fuel pressure not checked but replaced fuel filter both in engine bay and fuel tank.
How to check compression timing but mechanic has set timing by moving distributor using some pistol like flashing light.
4l ZIC OIL is poured in.
level correct.
old oil was red in colour and has no smell mechanic was sniffing it.
kindly tell me ECU code so i can check it and replace it.
gear shifting is 1to 2 at 10km/hr
2to 3 on 40km/hr
3to 4 on 60km/hr

your injectors are wrong - the fuel trims would be off the charts. lets call in an user @afnan.bashir - who can share with you his own expereince of this fault and wrong injectors.

The total capacity of ATF is nearly 8 litres, its removed by the cooler lines, the level is checked with hot ATF temperature and shifter in P with engine at idle speed.

It should shift with a slight bump and be quite strong when doing it.

I will check ATF level again and will replace the injectors.
Yes the car shifts with slight bump and strong.
Are the shifting intervals correct. ATF was drained by bleeding a pipe going into radiator.
Do you think ECU is correct for the engine?

Xulfiqar sir my baleno is acting strange
1)on cold rpm are high (about 1500 on idle) on both CNG petrol and engine is shutting off with rpm drop and backfire on CNG only get fine as soon as engine heats up to optimum temperature
2)as soon as I stop (let's assume no throttle pressed) check light appear and goes of as soon as car move
The first issue was present in car when I bought it but went away after I changed map sensor which was of g10b

@xulfiqar kindly let me know how to adjust iacv solenoid for this iacv type.... i once opened the iacv and solenoid after assembling idle rpm goes to 2000 when car is moving idle rpm should stays arround 1100 rpm when car is moving

its on 800 usually when car is still and sometime it goes to 400 when car is still .... fast idle goes to 2000 then come down in 1 minute to 1500..

I think I am doomed. Yesterday I spent about 7K for new (USED - Bilal Gunj version) Catalytic converter installation (Mitsubishi EK Wagon 660CC) and now engine noise is less while on idle, check light is gone, and co called computer tunning is done with no error codes.

Now @afnan.bashir would know that car is making sound. I didn't notice because all the time while I drive, I listen either Quraan Shareef or Songs in high volume. Yesterday @afnan.bashir told that my car is making noise and rear barrings are the cause. Today I took it to Mechanic and he said. my car (Mitsubishi EK Wagon) doesn't come with only barrings, whole hub needs replacement.

Does anybody know the solution or the shop where to go for this? OR in worst case again I HAVE TO ZALEEL-O-KHAWAAR at BILAL GUNJ.

use a test lamp on pin 9 you pointed out. - connect test lamp tail to ground.
