what tests have been carried out so far?

injector flow?
fuel pressure?
residual pressure?
did anyone clean the screen in the distributor?
no vacuum leaks?
ignition system good? (dont use fancy spark plugs in this engine)

Off topic I have heard that modern cars ecu take feedback from ignition coil about AFR condition of cylinder and using fancy spark can mess thing up is it true?

@xulfiqar @capsat yesterday the engine 1zzfe of our altis 2006 broke down. Mechanic suggesting to swap engine. He says that the connecting rod broke and it broke the head as well as the bottom.

What engine should we go for? Require better fuel economy and reliability. Car does 100km daily.

check the crank sensor resistance, and check the wiring to it for damage.

the crank sensor is replaced last week, this problem started after some days of replacing the crank sensor, my mechanic has replaced it as he was of the view that my crank sensor is bad which makes the knocking sound, however there is no effect on knocking sound after replacement of crank sensor. Filling the tank with High-octane did the job and reduced the knocking sound to 90%. my mechanic replaced crank sensor with the one already kept with him without checking its resistance. Do you still think that it is Crank Sensor and not the fuel pump ?

He told me that it's the fuel injected version. I'm pretty sure no proper tests have been done. He has some famous Butt Sb in Lahore who is a o called Merc specialist. Unfortunately, I am not in Lahore at this moment, otherwise I would have seen to it that this is taken care of. As far as I know, he is using stock spec everything.

From what I understand, it i the following engine: [h=2]M102.963[/h]2.0 litre version with KE-Jetronic fuel injection. Cubic capacity: 1997cc Power output: 90kW
Applications:

He wants to convert it to this:

How did con rods break? piston got seize in cylinder at high rpm ?

I got a corolla 2013 gli variant. The problem is car makes an audible sound when I start it. Its like occasional. The sound is like "High pressure is released" Hose noise i guess from engine. I think its due to worn out vaccume pipe? Actually I am not sure. Please help me out here. I can't stand pakistani Ustaad Jees they will ruin my car.

1ZZ-FE is very fuel economical already, and how did you manage to get it to throw a rod?

I asked and he said the cr wouldn't rev beyond 3K RPM a couple months ago and now it won't rev past 1K RPM.

what has been tested? - does it start with ease? what condition are the spark plugs, distributor cap, rotor, wires, coil etc?

no its not, use atf on it, leave the atf to soak in it for about 20 minutes.

I am having hard time explaining atf to oil guy can I use manual gearbox oil?

I asked for same automatic gearbox ka oil and he was like "gara (thick) wala na" than he started "kon si gari mai dalna hai apko"

What fuel you were driving on kerosene oil ? Still I believe rings would have broke before anything happens To con rods
