Engine light flash kerni shroh ho gye hai aur after 3rpm fluctuate kerna shroh ker diya hai.aur park kerte howe jerk kerna shroh ker diya hai.can u guide me what was the reason & how to refrain it.

@xulfiqar, i have a 2A trickle charger with overcharge protection, is it okay to connect it across the red terminal under hood of my mercedes and ground it on the shock tower to charge the battery occasionally. mine only has a single high capacity battery under the hood. can charging this way cause any damage to any electrical components or anything? i herd that early w203 rear SAM are notorious for blowing up because of battery issues or jumpstarting.

the battery is not dead it just at 12.1 volts though the car starts up fine and no other gremlins yet and charges the battery fine too.

12.1 volts is very low, 12.5+ is a good charged battery.

You can ground the charger anywhere given that it is a suitable ground connecting, free of grime, oil and debris. Best is to find a factory ground and use it.

btw - this is the grounding strap you see on mercedes benz sedans

body to transmission bell housing - showing a W202 sedan

the battery negative cable goes to body directly.

for cars with battery in the boot or under the seat there are dedicated jumper points in the engine room.

Rear windshield of one of my relative's Honda City 04 was shattered in a parking accident.
Any recommendations on how to get a new one fitted? Where to go for getting it fixed in Karachi and what would be estimated cost?

@Xulfiqar, I got a corolla axio and it gets unstable at high speeds (floaty feel), say after 120 km/h, it was involved in a major accident and since then i refrain from crossing 100km/h mark in it, is there any thing that i can do to get it fixed or it is just something i've to live with ?

@xulfiqar. I got cultus efi 2008 and it stalls every time I pressed clutch or brakes while on cng. There is no problem at all on petrol. I searched a lot but there are number of reasons mentioned by pakwheelers to solve this problem. But I actually need a specific reason cos I don't want to spend lot of money on things which are not causing this. Well, a bit history of things I've done:
1- steeper motor is replaced by manual t-valve (couple of months ago & was working absolutely fine)
2- throttle body has been serviced and checked by a authorised dealer. It was fine just for one day and the following day I serviced my car and here comes the problem again. I drove it on next day and thought that might cos of some water or diesel (used by service station guy) but it wasn't cause by either of those, think so.
3- advancer, amulator have been checked again by Suzuki guys and they are working fine.
4-got a new air filter.
5- rpm was re-adjusted to 15k but not worked.

So could u or anyone help me out to get over this? I'm in KHI so if anyone knows a good Mechnic who got the right tools and knowledge for this thing, just let me know. Thanks in advance.

Bhai This morning I started the car and the engine stalled, it stalls for maybe 30 secs on first morning start the IAC valve kicks in and things get better within a minute, I hope its normal, is it? - when it stalled the belt squeaked, there wasn't any load on alternator but it did stall when ever the engine went in low rpms but there weren't any squeaks in normal rpms.
What do you think about that?

Should we sand the bike/car brake pads and drums while servicing to remove debris from both the surfaces?

your engine stalling maybe a bad ISC motor or even a weak crank sensor (it does happen) the squeaking of the belt can be a worn belt or a bad pulley or both or a bad quality belt. Try rubbing some chalk on it.

For brake pads and shoes, yes you can attempt to deglaze them but they will be required to be bed in again properly. So thats why I prefer to leave them as it is. If they are oil soaked or contaminated with brake fluid or any grease - I use a welding flame to bubble the oil out if the brake parts are hard to get or simply replace them if they are readily available.

Ok. I'll try chalk with the belt and will replace it if things didn't change.
Question: How to bed in new/sanded drum brakes for motorcycles and in cars. And is there a specific grit sand paper should we be using only while sanding drums and drum shoes?

i was asking can i use the jumper points to connect a trickle charger across them to charge the battery?

12.1 volts is very low, 12.5+ is a good charged battery.

yeah its sued once every two week though, after a drive it came to 12.4 volt. need to drive it often, my major worry was not where to ground it but whether a trickle charger can cause any harm to electronics if connected across the jumper points?

I have Toyota surf 1996. Over the weekend got stuck in sand. Since then I am unable to engage 4x4. Can you help me out of this? or recommend a place in Karachi to get it checked?
