I have Toyota surf 1996. Over the weekend got stuck in sand. Since then I am unable to engage 4x4. Can you help me out of this? or recommen a place in Karachi to get it checked?

First of why did you slowed your suv while driving on sand? The front differential engage by vaccum in your suv check vaccum line

yeah its sued once every two week though, after a drive it came to 12.4 volt. need to drive it often, my major worry was not where to ground it but whether a trickle charger can cause any harm to electronics if connected across the jumper points?

as long as the charger does not pulse it more than 13.0 V your electrics would be fine. The charger that kills MB and BMWs are the desulphating ones.

Any idea where to source a new pump? Anywhere around the world... Because I have only been able to trace used ones.. mine hasn't given up but I like to be prepared incase something goes wrong

you can buy it from mitsubishi - very expensive though.

your plugs look ok, - but worn out, you can file down the center electrode to make it flat.

thanks, and i have another question what is the best way to swap a new battery on a w203 or any modern mercedes, i have seen people use all kinds of techniques including swapping while engine running to not upset settings but i think that wrong.

is it okay if we connect a 12v motorcycle battery or a car battery across the jumper terminals while swapping battery provided the key is not in the ignition.

windows and steering angle sensor can be recalibrated easily but i have heard w203s are notorious for blowing up rear sam while changing batteries and the headunit may demand a security code which being Jap import i will not have.

@anc. not yet but I'd go for it if u think that's the culprit. One more n bit annoying thing I observed today that while the car is stationary (on CNG) n as soon as I pressed the brake pedal the lighting goes a bit dim n rpm goes down to zero n if I keep pressed on it stalls. No idea why it's doing this. Well, thanks for reply dude, I'll go for CNG kit service tomorrow or a day after.

Question: How to bed in new/sanded drum brakes for motorcycles and in cars. And is there a specific grit sand paper should we be using only while sanding drums and drum shoes?

you need to get it from Japan. Ask the JDM importers in PW - they claim they have lots of resources for any parts.

park another car next to it - connect jumper cables to your car from the points in the engine room.

change your battery making sure not to short the positive terminal anywhere (wrap it as soon as you disconnect)

@xulfiqar Sir my car santro 03 got new Plugs, plug wires, and ignition coils all OEM, After few thousands KMs I have noticed a small amount of miss fire in various gears. last night checked in dark, and noticed a small spark around the plug side and coil side boots on wires. I open wires and tape it with insulation tape, now the misfire disappear with still small sparks, my question is "small amount of sparks allowed or not in ignition system"

Note: a mechanic 3 days ago opened the plugs for rubbing with sandpaper and sprayed contact cleaner all over the plugs & its threads.
