From Alibaba, a manufacturer is selling cultus 2002 hydraulic power steering rack for 130 usd with one year warranty. is it worth buying?
Moreover tappet cover and distributor leaks oil within 3 months after repair on cultus 2002, any remedy?

Aoa Dear Group Members:

My car's (Daihatsu Mira e:s 2012) Brake pins / Caliper Pins are creating Noise.
Mechanic done greasing to pins twice . After greasing,noise stopped but just after 400 to 500 km, its come back
Right after 10 to 15 days, pins are creating noise again

Now Mechanic is suggesting to add rings/bushes on pins?
What is your expert advice in this regard? Any suggestions / permanent solution to this issue? ?????

My 2010 Altis Cruisetronic 1.8 being driven by my dad has broken down. On highway, it was running just fine when all of a sudden rpm started to fluctuate and car went to limp mode. They barely made back home. Next day car didn't even start.

Since I am out of country, he took it to a mechanic who said its ECU has got short circuit and requires replacement. I myself fail to believe how a car ECU can get short without any apparent reason, and even if it does, the fuses should have blown up and prevented further damage.

Anyhow, I seek your expert help and opinion on whether an ECU should be repaired or replaced. What does an ECU of this car usually cost - new and kabli both?

Guys - for a couple of days, weird rattling noise is coming from engine (or somewhere in the engine bay). Car in question, my civic eg with d15b dual vtec.

This rattling noise comes in the morning after car has been sitting in the night. The noise occurs during acceleration when RPM is around or above 2000, in both neutral and running position. The noise gradually decreases after 2-3 kms of driving, and vanishes after that.

Checked engine and power steering oil levels, which were both somewhat 70%. Topped them off to 100%, but still the noise occurs in the morning.

What could be the possible issue(s) before I plan any trip to the mechanic?

sir can you please point out the symptoms of bad clutch cable?

i have 1000cc PKDM ALTO 2011 model 40k driven, geting in 1st gear is hard and the rest of gears dont feel good either, the feeling is same like a half pressed clutch but i press the clutch all the way in.

car is 40k driver, does the clutch cable go bad over time period but not driving car too much?

car is 40k driver, does the clutch cable go bad over time period but not driving car too much?

a hard shifting is associated to gear box or clutch plate .. even a non adjusted cable can cause hard shifting .. get cable adjustment checked .. then clutch plate and still if problem persists get gear box checked

Probably water had been getting to it, get it repaired but from a professional with guarantee

Nopes. No vibration. Car performance otherwise hasnt changed. Just this weird sound. No CEL.

Cant be, that would have been a vibration type sound. The sound seems to be coming from the engine, and only for sometime when started in the morning at approx 2k-3k rpm, then slowly goes away after running for couple of kilometers.

It clearly a rattle type sound, like a can shaken with marble inside.

This could be that your oil pump isn't working efficiently and doesn't provide full oil during the cold working. Seems to be the only thing possible

Can Any one Help me :'(??? in deep deep trouble

I have overhaul D16Y6 Factory fitted VTi engine of my Civic 1997, but this is to let you know that its head and block were in worst condition but car was in running condition, it was having missing of some sort, i was thinking it may be due to engine work, but since i have made it overhaul, voices aren't coming all done but the missing is still there, though i have changed the distributor cap and router also, for initial it remained ok, on the phase to keep the engine start just after fitting, but there was one trouble remained that was that giving full accelrator the accelration is braking and car is getting switched off, machenic has tried adjusting everything but yet to find precised problem, on FULL SUDDEN(also slow sometime) ACCELERATION car engine is getting switched off, 2ndly now after fixing its air filter boxes and all, later he got it restart its missing once again please note that its all happening on petrol... ??
