Why is a thermostat installed in ac? I mean, i went to service ac of my car and he put in a thermostat beneath the dashboard. He said it will control the ac and not make engine hot. ..

Continuous running of compressor puts on load on engine as engine has to do work to run the compressor which in return produces heat and also result in loss of power that is why thermostat is added so that after reaching a certain temp inside the cabin the car a.c trips the compressor and give the engine sometime to work on low load as well as to shed heat which mechanic call in their desi terms as "let the engine breath". Rest seniors can guide u better

there is always a thermostat in every A/C system to prevent the evaporator from freezing up into a block of ice and to prevent liquid from going to the compressor inlet. Even systems without expansion valves have it.

Your liana has a thermostat in it - its a small bellows like item with a thermistor in it, your mechanic just replaced it with a mechanical thermal bulb type thermostat.

please help

I have a 2010 corolla.
Can anyone help me with ECU-B2 issue.
Problem is that when ever I park my car at night the current gets drained from the battery and after 6 to 8 hrs theres no current left in the battery.

I got it checked from my electrician ,he connected a one wire of the bulb with the negative terminal of the battery and other with the negative wire that connects to the battery the bulb lit up quite bright which showed that something was using current even when no electronic item in the vehicle was switched on.

Than he checked all the fuses and came across a fuse for ECU-B2.When he plugged it out the drain from the battery stopped.So he came to the conclusion that there's some issue with the ECU-B2.The dashboard was taken off , a small white case type thing which he was saying is the ECU -B2 right on the left side of the dashboard.when we checked this ECU-B2 it looked fried but was still working.I was getting no message of check engine all this time.

Now can anyone tellme what next should i do? how much does this ECU-b2 cost? can anyone recommend me a very good electrician who is expert in such cars coz my electrician was unable to detect the fault that was draining the current.

What I know so far

1.ECu-B2 needs to be replaced and Need to detect the fault that caused this frying of ecu.can ecu be repaired?

also this ecu b2 is not the main ecu of the car.

Need help.Im confused.Need a very good educated electrician.Please don't recommend for TOYOTA cox they'll empty my pocket.

The fuses ECU-B and B2 are for body purposes, e.g. usually the B2 fuse is for immobiliser function but you dont have it. I would suggest you test your interior functionality like outside power mirrors, steering, gauge cluster and stereo/navigation if you have it.

Any electrician will do that, just tell him k garam gadhi trip ho k boht dhair baad wapas compressor lagati hai. The switches in the dash that send the command to the compressor is where the fault lies

AOA @xulfiqar, hope you are doing well. Using a bluetooth obd2 scanner, I scanned a W211 E200 prefacelift and it gave the following codes in the picture. Could you please tell me a probable cause? Please clear my confusion as to why is it giving 3 codes for an O2 sensor?
The car is a daily driver (weekdays), and travels 3kms at max in one trip. So 'aana jaana' will be around 6kms. Your help would mean a lot.

Looks like the sensors are done for one bank, if you are going to replace them I can only guide which would be the cheapest way to go and that would be the bosch universal o2's. Got one for myself around 4k pkr landed here and works like a charm!

Also it seems the daily mileage does not matter. I am betting your total is above 150k km's for something like this to occur.

Xulfiqar Sir I have recently bought a 2 door Pajero 4d55 but the diesel engine doesn't have torque in it car is so sluggish that of gets dead in even second gear and wants to be driven in first only the diesel pump is set way to advance (loud kharaka in desi language) is that the reason it so sluggish?

donot adjust this - this is only adjusted ONCE when a new mastercylinder is installed - if you push it forwards you will losepressure in the clutch as it wont have full stroke anymore.
Yourproblem is loss of pressure at the slave cylinder or a worn pilotbearing.

pilotbearing and piston in slave cylinder already changed before sixmonth, can soft line be the culprit ?

I would suggest do a proper bleed procedure, its quite hard to do in a clutch because the slave is in an awkward location.
I used to do a trick with a clear pipe on the slave nipple, make an upward loop - this loop traps brake fluid and prevents air from being sucked into the slave cylinder. On some I have had to employ the use of a front wheel brake caliper bleeder nipple to push brake fluid backwards into the clutch, hence expelling all air.

Yesterday bleed the entire clutch system change the kit (FIC Japan)of master clutch cylinder and slave cylinder also the mechanic enhance the size of push rod of slave cylinder up to 1/2 inch, in test drive gradually gear shifting become normal.
Today morning I start the engine and press full clutch and try for gear but no result, feels no clutch has been press, after pumping the clutch and also engine get hot gradually the gear shifting get normal even in excellent condition.

Now the questions is,
1) its normal for few days after changing the kit of master and slave clutch cylinders ?
2) should I change both clutch cylinders and clutch plates ?
3) should I check slave cylinder movement on cold engine by pressing clutch.

check the wiring of the o2 sensor, I think they are melted and fused somewhere or are cut up. All these codes pop at once when that happens. The generator control circuit also can be a blown line as the heater circuit for the o2 sensors carry 12V positive.
