I am sure you mean the accessory belt. The timing chain is inside the engine

Check tensioner / pulleywheel. If the belt has scratches on the sides, bad/bent pulley wheels.

I have checked it it is Slightly bent from the left side and it is producing noise when I start the engine can you please tell me that it can be repaired or I have to change it.

i think i am having a situation here - the water started seeping from here (see pictures - a thin line of water flowing down) its a spot situated right beneath the CAM sprocket. What is it and how can i correct it..

First you have to take off the belt and check if there is play in the wheels. Inspect the belt aswell. They are not very costly, so I would change them.

Got an automatic city 10 and surprise surprise it has no pick. What surprised me was that my car sucked more than city automatics usually do so today I observed and I think I found out why. My car shifts the first gear around 1600-1800 rpm. The rest of the gear also shift around 2000 but the first gear is the root of the problem because if the car gets off good then 2k rpm is fine. But when the car shifts at 1.8k to second then it dies obviously.

So my question is if I could delay the shifting timing for the first gear somehow?

Ok I will inspect and tell you soon but can you tell me that the wiered sound is because of the belt and there is a hope that it can be repaired because it is Slightly bent not torn and not scratched.

Oka so after a little bit of digging around on the internet i learned these are the freeze plugs or welch plugs and youtube taught me to punch them on one side to twist them in there hole and pull em out with pllier and clean the bor/hole with a sand paper and install a new one. Dont use any sealants just hammer them in and i am done.

time to do the timing again i guess.

If i remember correctly you recommend loseing all the valves and removing the spark plugs to correctly adjust the tension on the timing belt. i have removed the spark plugs. Now the thing is i don't know how to set the valve clearance i mean it involves some cranking the engine clockwise or anticlockwise to get the TDC and that TDC is also of two types the compression one and the exhaust one. And there is something about 90 degrees crank to adjust piston one and blah blah i am confused. anyone can help? meanwhile xulfiqar bhai is not here.

Update:

So did the timing - for valve clearance i marked the timing spots on sprockets and did valve on cylinder 1 and then rotated the CAM sprocket to 90 degrees and adjusted cylinder 3. Another rotation to next 90 degrees and cylinder 4 was adjusted and on final rotation of 90 degrees adjusted cylinder 2.

Valve clearance was set at 0.1mm intake and .17 mm exhaust - on cold.

If an automatic car jerks while shifting gears then what might be the problem?

I got the fluid checked from a pathan in g10, he said the consistency was okay and the fluid was pink so no need to change the fluid. I myself do not when the fluid was changed as I bought the car secondhand a month back. Will flushing the gear oil fix the problem?

i guess its repairable. But cost will be high because Mechanic will undo & re-fix it, Kharadiya will do his job, boot & Grease, etc.
Or maybe grease is missing in some part.

its not the U joint making the noise - its the intermediate shaft splines experiencing stiction - toyota actually sell a grease in a syringe just for this noise for some vehicles where there is a provision of a hole in the splines, in others you have to remove or elongate the ISS to grease it.

You can try adjusting the steering up and down and in and out to work the intermediate shaft - it may disperse some of the original grease and stop the noise

@xulfiqar Sir my manual Cuore 2000 wiring is very bad,messed up by local electricians which causes problems whenever dashboard or speedometer is opened for any work.i want to get new wiring now.what are options for me & from where can I have this work done?is kabli wiring available for old cars?

I guess so. Havent yet started the engine up - haha dar sa lag rha hai lol

This is how things are looking now. The problem was welch plug leakage which i replaced (details of problem before and after repairs with pics are there in previous posts).

This is how the tension on the belt is looking now.
Note: the bolt on the tensioner is just hand tightened. If i tight it with rachet it doesnt move as freely as it is in the video.

Dear Xulfiquar bhai AoA, I have Daewoo Racer 93 model, wanted to ask that use of engine flushing chemicals like made by STP etc are recommended for old vehicles or not. Secondly I am sure you must be aware of de carbonisation of engine pouring water in carb or TBI is this practise safe and effective. Kindly guide
